Title: God Who Gives Peace, Not Calamity

Text/ Jeremiah 29:11-13

Introduction / There are some very unique expressions in the Bible. I am the vine and you are the branches, and I am the good shepherd. That is, the expression <I am - ->, the expression <You have been told not to - - but I tell you - ->, and the expression form of the text, < This is the expression that God is - - not - -.

This text is the Word of God given to those who have fallen into this state. The text reveals how God treats us fundamentally. A person who is in failure and suffering can overcome all doubts, discouragement, and despair if he stands firm in his faith by realizing what God has fundamentally and intrinsically what God has for his children before he becomes discouraged, doubts and becomes discouraged. Despite this, there are many cases in which many people lose their faith without knowing or realizing the true heart of God. The text clearly reveals what God's original heart is like. Therefore, we can achieve great victory by holding fast to this Word and not being shaken.

Then, < What is the true heart of the living Heavenly Father toward us? > should be clearly stated through the text.

1. A heart to bring peace, not disaster

Listen carefully to the following Bible verses!

* God hath not appointed us to wrath, but through our Lord Jesus Christ.

that you may be saved (1 Thessalonians 5:9)

* God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but through him

that he might receive this salvation (John 3:17).

* I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world (John 12:47).

* God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

D (2 Timothy 1:7)

* The authority the Lord has given was not to destroy you, but to build you up.

You will not be ashamed if you boast too much (2 Corinthians 10:8, 13:10).

* It is not the intention of the Lord to cause trouble and sorrow in life (Lamentations 3:33).

And, crucially, listen carefully to the text

* I know the thoughts I have toward you, says the LORD, not evil, but peace (Jeremiah 29:11).

What is the central message of all these words? God's heart toward us is not disaster, curse, or judgment, but peace and blessing. Is there anyone who is discouraged by failure right now? Please firmly believe in this promise.

2. A heart to give hope, not disaster

Dante's devotional poem consists of heaven, purgatory and hell. However, Dante said that he saw a warning sign written in large red letters above the gates of Hell: “Abandon all hope, you who enter through this gate.” Hell is a place where there is no hope. The greatest of all disasters will be the very existence of this hopeless frustration and despair.

God does not intend to give us such a disaster of despair. Rather, he is declaring that he is the One who wants to give hope. < What sin have I committed? > < Why can't I be? > < Why is my life like this? > Find the cause of my life's misfortunes, find the cause of sin, and so on. Get away from looking back. Turn your head and look forward, firmly believing that it is Heavenly Father's heart to give you hope, not disaster. See the future. No matter how hard you try to poke through the piles of failure, frustration and discouragement, the piles of rubbish with the sharp and sharp stick of reason, the only thing that bounces is filthy poop and stinky pieces of garbage. Get out of bed and get up. Do not doubt your father's promise to give you hope for the future. Receive with your heart that God's heart is not a disaster, but a hope.

3. A heart that hears prayers with all your heart

Jesus said, “If your son asks for a fish, and he will give you a snake, though you are evil, if you know how to give good things to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! > said. I am an evil person. I am a sinner. Still, I want to do the best for my child. Probably all of you. How much more, what kind of heart would Heavenly Father have? Our Heavenly Father is the one who finds those who seek and seeks with all our hearts and hears their prayers. Faith leads to faith. He said that great faith grows from faith the size of a mustard seed.
