Title: God Who Heals Wounds / Jeremiah 30:17
Not long ago, I heard a story of a 34-year-old mother who pushed her two children, ages 7 and 5, down first from the 14th floor of an apartment building, and then committed suicide by jumping while hugging her three-year-old youngest. How can this mother, who ignores the child's appeal, "I don't want to die, save me" This woman, her husband ran away from home and was obsessed with credit card debt. She had nothing to feed her children and reached the limit of borrowing from others. It wasn't credit card debt or poverty that this woman committed suicide. It is a wound that comes from poverty. I was hurt when people said to this woman, "If you don't have the ability to raise children, do you have three children and have done something beyond your responsibility?" “Even if a young man washes the dishes in a restaurant, he would survive, but he couldn’t do that, so he went to borrow money.” When I went to borrow 12,000 won for children's milk from a neighbor, I was rejected. It was hard to bear the hurt, rejection, neglect, and insults that I had suffered because I didn't have money. This wound led the woman to suicide.
the reaction of a broken heart
The broken heart of a passive and introverted person leads to suicide, and an aggressive or active person becomes rebellious and a murderer. A broken heart can even kill a loved one. A broken heart leads to despair and discouragement. And let life go out. At this time, Satan works and causes death. A broken heart is filled with anger with hostility. They think of their own children as property, destroying them recklessly and causing them to die. If the broken heart is not healed, even if you believe in Jesus, you will end up killing your own life. Some psychologists say that people spend 50% of their mental energy remembering past hurts, hurting them, hating those who hurt them, and abusing themselves. When we are ignored and despised by others, we suffer because we cannot sleep at night. In this case, you are using more than 50% of your mental energy.
How are we hurt?
The apostle Paul suffered many wounds from the evil deeds of a man named Alexander. Alexander was originally a member of the church as a metalsmith, but was expelled for causing problems in the church. They resisted Paul's words and harmed them. If Paul was hurt so badly, would he write that person's name in the Bible?
How should wounds be healed?
Wounds I can't heal. Only when God heals you can you heal cleanly. He said that the Lord heals our wounds. Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Therefore, we should ask God who heals our wounds. We must surrender our wounds to God. God repays you.
The disease must be revealed to be cured. When you expose your wounds to God, you will be healed. If you are participating in the ranch, you will be healed when you expose the wounds to the ranchers. I hope that the gardens will participate and empathize with the pain. The ranch meeting should become a community where we can share our wounds with others. When we become such a community, we become a community where Jesus is present and heals.
Jesus died on the cross for our wounds. “By his wounds you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24). Jesus was hurt more than we did. He experienced the greatest pain than anyone else because he was ridiculed, despised, persecuted and executed. This man also lived with the scars of poverty. There were scars of ridicule, contempt, and ridicule. But Jesus did not take revenge on others for his wounds. Rather, I forgave him. When we hate the person who hurt us, our wounds deepen. When you forgive, there is healing of the wound. Forgiveness lets the person who hurt you go away. to enjoy freedom.
Jesus knows our pain better than anyone. When we come to Jesus, He binds up our wounds and heals us. Now Jesus tore his body to heal our wounds. You bled. Now, as we partake of the sacrament, His torn flesh and His shed blood heal our wounds.
God's love is here. We are hurt when we are not loved. But God loved us. The proof is in the sacrament. I hope that you will experience the Lord's love deeply through this sacrament.
