Title: God Who Protects Us

God who protects us (Psalm 121:1-8)
“The Lord is your keeper,” he said. 6 times in the text alone. In that sense, the God we believe in is not an incompetent being who created humans and does nothing.
As in today's text, he is telling us that he is a God who knows every move and every move in our lives and protects and protects us not only until the end of the world, but until we go to the kingdom of God.
It is that he protects and protects the saints and families who believe in God more powerfully, clearly and unchangingly than the soldiers and police of the country who protect and protect the lives and property of the people. Thank you so much. And we don't have to worry or worry.
Soldiers with guns and swords, doctors with cutting-edge science, or medicine are not what protects us. God is the one who protects and protects us as a female nurses her young under her wings. It is our God who protects and protects us like the pupil of the eye.
That's why the Bible says that God has eyes. God also called the seven eyes (Rev 5:6) and the eyes of fire (Rev 1:14, 2:18, 19:12).
And I looked, and behold, between the throne and the four living creatures and the elders, stood a Lamb, as if it had been slain, and had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth (Revelation 5:6). )
This means that God's eyes are completely flawless, unlike human eyes. There are no errors or omissions, and he is not as tired or hazy as people are. They don't get sick or sick like humans. You are without limits.
He protects and protects you anytime, anywhere. You are not the type of person who is dictated by circumstances or moods like other people. He is the one who protects us beyond time and space.
This is the message of today's text that God protects us.
In verse 1 of today's text, the psalmist said, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains." Why did the poet raise his eyes toward the mountains? This is because, in today's text, we saw the presence of God on Mount Zion, which surrounds holy Jerusalem. In other words, because the poet knew that real help came only from the mountain of God, the holy city of Jerusalem.
The poet himself asks himself. Where will my help come from (verse 1). I know that you too have had that experience. When you are in a difficult and difficult situation, when no one is willing to help and there is no one to turn to for help, when you ask yourself for help. Who will really help me?
Even today the poet looks to the east, west, north and south, but when there is no one or anything to help him, he asks me to raise my eyes toward the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from God who made the heavens and the earth.
When we face any difficulties, we look for someone to help us. Some look into their parents' pockets, some rely on worldly things, some seek a magical shaman, and some visit a temple.
However, this psalmist sought out Jehovah God. My help is from the LORD, who made heaven and earth (verse 2).
As the poet confessed today, we believers must seek God, the Creator of heaven and earth. This is because only God is our true help. This is because God is in control of all the big things and small things in our lives. This is because the God who created heaven and earth knows all of our constitutions and our future very well.
In difficult and difficult times, and when you get sick and die, if you go to people, look at material things, and look at the world, you may be of some help, but in the end it will only be disappointing.
Earlier, David sang about his life in Psalm 146:2-3.
Do not depend on princes, nor on men who do not have the strength to help; for when their breath ceases, they return to dust, and their plans perish in the same day (Psalm 146:3-4).
At the same time, they sing that they will put their hope in God and receive God's help.
Blessed is he who makes the God of Jacob his help, and whose hope is in the LORD his God.
The blessed life is not for those who depend on wealthy and powerful people and have hope, but those who depend on God and put their hope in God.
Because, as Psalm 146:6 says, the Lord made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and He keeps the truth forever.
There is nothing our God cannot help us with. There is nothing that God, who is in charge of all operations of the universe, cannot solve life's problems. Our help is none other than the God who created the heavens and the earth and made me. Because God alone is our hope, our strength, and our joy.
Please see verse 3.
“The Lord will not cause you to stumble, and the one who keeps you will not sleep.
A person or material does not always lead us in a comfortable way. Don't we know throughout our lives that sometimes such things make us stumble not only once or twice?
In a sense, our closest children let us down. Material makes me stumble, and friends and people make me hard Without knowing it or not, it wouldn't happen, but these things make it hard for me and you and puts you to the test.
But our God is the one who makes us not to stumble. Rather, even when we stumble and go through the valley of the shadow of death, as shepherds, we, the Lord, come down there to save us and embrace us.
When the Lord leads our way, it seems like a difficult and difficult road to people, but as long as we follow the Lord's guidance, the road is smooth and there is no way to stumble. The Lord is the good shepherd and guides us on the good path. Because you are responsible.
how?
When he was watching over us, he said, “He neither sleeps nor sleeps. God's protective hand is always with us. When the believers who believe in God suffer and suffer because of the miscellaneous things of the world, our God neither sleeps nor sleeps, but protects us.
In verse 5, God says, “He is at our right hand and is our shadow.” When we are in trouble, he stretches out his right arm, the strong arm of God, and guides us on the path of righteousness and life. And he is the one who protects and helps us regardless of any tribulations or difficulties.
Please see verse 6.
“The sun by day will not harm you, nor the moon by night.”
When God led the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years, God was with them as a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire. During the day, he was with us as a pillar of cloud to protect us from the heat, and at night, as a pillar of fire to protect us from the cold.
In the same way, God says that when the saints, you and your family sometimes go through the wilderness of life, the devil and Satan use that opportunity to harm us, but the reason why we are victorious is that God, who does not allow us to harm even a single notch, does not allow us. because of.
So please don't worry. It is because God, who helps, protects, and protects us from time to time, is posting. Even if there are good things, bad things, sad things, or painful things, God does not turn away like people and He is with us.
Even if the path of life is rough and painful, even if we lose the courage and strength to live, our God will protect us, protect us, and be with us until the end of the world.
Even if you are sick, lonely, and lonely, I hope you do not worry or worry.
May you not be sad and discouraged. God helps and sustains us so that no one can hurt us.
The providence that God protects and protects us is truly a mystery. Hair, eyebrows, pores, and even the smallest parts of our body are made of nothing meaningless. It makes you feel God's providence of creation and protection.
Be strong and courageous, fear not, do not tremble before them, for the LORD your God is with you, and he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Please see verse 7.
When the Lord keeps us, he guards our souls, so that when we abide in the Lord, he saves us from all trouble. When he judges the world, he says that he will bring his people to a country where they will not be shaken so that they may escape the judgment of God's wrath.
He promises to guard our bodies and our souls, but will keep our entrances and exits from now on to eternity (verse 8). Why? This is because God is not limited or weak like humans. This is because God is an eternal God.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but you will endure forever; all of them will wear out like a garment, and they will change when you change them like a garment, but you are the same, and your generations will endure forever. (Psalm 102:26-28)
“Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”
conclude the word.
I and you who attended today's worship believe in God who protects us. now we
How should I live?
I would like to conclude by reading Philippians 4:4-9.
Rejoice in the Lord always, I say again, rejoice (Philippians 4:4), for God protects you. Make known to all your tolerance, for the Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, may enter your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. will keep your thoughts
Because there is a God who guards our hearts and minds, we always rejoice even when there is nothing to rejoice in.
Because there is a God who guards our hearts and minds, we become Christians who embrace the world, not narrow-minded Christians.
Because there is a God who guards our hearts and minds, when there are countless things to be anxious about, the more we do it, the more we entrust it to God and pray. thank you.
May this grace be with you in the name of the Lord.
