Title: God Who Remembers (Genesis 08:1-5)

Contents Human beings who are always self-centered, even if they love someone, over time, their love easily turns into hate or indifference, so it is easier for humans to be disappointed and hurt rather than to receive comfort from others.

However, God's love is not noisy like human beings, nor is it capricious, and once he has decided to love him, he does not change and takes responsibility until the end.

1. God's silence If the moment that humans fear the most is when, according to psychologists, they feel lonely and thought to be alone in this world, it is the time of Noah's entire family who was trapped in the ark for more than a year or a long time. You can guess how you feel.

Nevertheless, God was silent about Noah for a long time, as if He was ignorant of Noah's feelings, or as if he knew but was indifferent. In this case, it is easy for most believers to become discouraged or blame God.

Humans pretend to love and care for someone, but as time goes by and circumstances change, they become indifferent or easily turn into boredom and hatred, so it doesn't last long.

But God never forgot or was indifferent to Noah's family in the ark (Genesis 8:1), just as God gave Noah and all the wild animals and livestock that were with him in the ark. He and his family did not forget even a single moment and remembered them all.

God does not forget with the same love not only for Noah but also for us today, and He knows and remembers all our circumstances and situations.

(Isa 49:15) How can a woman forget her suckling child, and have no pity on the son of her womb? Even if they forget, I will not forget you.

2. The work of God God (Genesis 8:1) made the wind blow on the earth and the water subsided, as the saying goes, “He made the wind and blocked the springs on the earth and the windows in the sky so that it did not rain, so that the 150 days passed. While it was flowing, Noah's boat stayed on Mount Ararat.

At last the submerged world was revealed, and mountain peaks began to appear. If Noah had tried to dry out all the water, it would have been impossible, but God did all the work in silence, and Noah only had to confirm the work of God.

When Noah was curious and sent out the dove, the dove returned with a new leaf from the olive tree in its mouth, which proves God's work of drying up the water on the ground.

Noah, who met the flood, had no choice but to wait for the rain to stop and wait for the water to go down without doing anything for his salvation in the boat, but Jehovah God never forgot or remembered Noah's family in the ark. He was preparing a new world in which life would grow while working for the salvation of Noah without a break.

It is the same today. Because humans are sinners regardless of who they are, they have no choice but to wait for death and do nothing for their own salvation, but God has prepared a new work of salvation for mankind. That is the resurrection of Christ like a new olive leaf. is the gospel of

3. Acceptance of God Although the waters on the earth have decreased, the question of when Noah must lead the whole family out of the ark is not a matter for Noah to decide, but at last the time has come (Genesis 8:15) He spoke and said, (Genesis 8:16) As it is said, “Come out of the ark with your wife, your sons, and your wives, patience is required by the authority of God.

When Noah stayed in the ark for more than a year and came out of the world, Noah was the first (Genesis 8:20) to say that Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took from all clean animals and from all clean birds and offered them on the altar of burnt offerings. He also built an altar to God.

It shows that Noah's belief that God is the center of God did not change in the slightest while he stayed in the ark for a long time.

God was pleased with Noah's sacrifice and blessed Noah, promising that He would never curse again.

Even in a situation in which it is urgent to build a house and a place for Noah’s family to live in on earth, in a situation where it is realistically urgent to see Noah seeking his country and his righteousness first, modern people who cannot pray for holy water on Sundays with faith behind the excuse that they are busy It is a look that serves as an example to

Beloved saints! Although Christians have already been saved, life on earth requires patience, just like Noah in the ark.

As Noah did nothing for his own salvation, God remembered Noah and his family in silence and worked tirelessly for their salvation. there is

Now, if there is anything we need to do for God, like Noah, who first offered a burnt offering with a clean animal, in any case, we must have God-centered faith and worship God in spirit and truth that pleases God, and live by faith with thanksgiving ( Hebrews 13:15, 1 Peter 2:5). (Gothic)
