Title: God Who Turns and Raises

Bible: Exodus 13:17-22

Starting Point of the Word>>

This time, we would like to share the word with the title of “God who turns and raises up”.

President Roosevelt, famous as the fourth-term president of the United States, suffered from polio from a young age and was lame, and had to use a magnifying glass due to poor eyesight.

He also suffered from asthma, which sometimes led to shortness of breath.

When he was 11 years old, his father said, “Son, you are crippled, have poor eyesight, and even have asthma. Then you will become a bigger and better person than anyone else.”

He gave courage to his son.

From then on, as his father said, he overcame all physical obstacles, prayed diligently, read the Word, and studied diligently. has been president four times, which is difficult to do once.

Also, the Russian writer <Dostoevsky>, who had the greatest influence on world literature, was born as the son of a poor surgeon and grew up with difficulty.

When he was 16, his mother died of lung disease, and when he was 18, shocked to hear that his father had been murdered by serfs, he developed psychotic symptoms and was left alone like an orphan.

As a young man, he was arrested and sentenced to death for participating in a socialist syndicate, but was dramatically rescued from the brink of death by the special amnesty of the emperor.

Instead, he was exiled to Siberia and spent four years in prison, where he suffered ignorance.

Married life was also not smooth, so my wife passed away first from tuberculosis at a young age.

After that, she remarried, but the joy was short-lived, and she often collapsed from epilepsy and lost consciousness.

The works written in such extreme pain and ordeal wrote the immortal masterpiece called <Crime and Punishment>, and left many works such as <Brothers Karamazov> and <White Night>.

Not long ago, news broke that South Korean President Lee Myung-bak had returned his fortune to society.

He said that the biggest factor that enabled him to do so was to help a family suffering from poverty like himself.

His mother taught her children not to be dishonest because of poverty, and later to work for the needy and needy.

As such, he became president and returned more than 30 billion won of wealth to society.

Most people become frustrated, discouraged, and desperate when their path is blocked, resenting their parents, resenting society, and resentment against God.

However, those who leave behind the above great achievements have one thing in common: they have experienced “the grace of God that brings them back.”

Looking at the words of today's text, we would like to share grace while realizing "the grace of God that restores Him."

Go to Word>>

What is God's providence for us today, that is, the providence of "God who turns and raises him up"?

First, we see that God's grace sometimes manifests differently than we think.

The reason why conflicts of faith arise is because the way does not open as I thought.

Sometimes we pray hard, but there is no answer or we see the road being opened in a different direction.

When that happens, we doubt God and become discouraged.

However, we must keep in mind that God's thinking and mine may be different.

According to Isaiah 55:8,

“My thoughts are not your thoughts, my ways are not your ways, just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

said.

We think on the plain and God looks down from heaven, so our thoughts may be different.

In Acts 16, the apostle Paul tried to evangelize in Asia, but God blocked all paths.

And made it to Europe

Look at verse 17 of the text.

“After Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, though the road was near, because God said, ‘If this people go to war, they will turn their hearts and return to Egypt.”

I did.

We must realize God's providence and love for Israel here.

We see success before our eyes, and we see good land before our eyes, but God has raised us up and led us in a different way.

In my opinion, success is right in front of you, making you miss it and make it go back.

These problems cannot be overcome by the strength of my thoughts and reason, so I must overcome them by faith.

At that time, we can experience the grace of God who restores us and raises us up.

Second, we must remember that God is gracious by raising us up.

A man was being hit with his whole body by many stones flying from the world.

The man who had been stoned for a moment lifted his head and looked in front of him.

Then he saw Jesus standing in front of him with his whole body being hit by stones that were flying towards him.

He realized that the stones he flew from were some of the stones that flew away from Jesus by accident.

God always accompanies me when I am on a difficult road.

God is always with us to turn us around today.

We must become saints who awaken the grace of God.

We must be the saints who wait for God to restore us.

Also, we must believe that God is with us even in the moment of waiting.

If we think deeply, we see that Jesus Christ won the victory through conversion.

The cross that Jesus carried was not the will of Jesus, but the will of God the Father.

He asked me to let this cup pass from me.

However, later he said, 'Drink as I will, and do as you will.'

It was the obedience of patience that endured to the end.

It is said that the tempting Satan led Jesus to temptation.

What is the content of the exam?

It was a temptation to go straight to the Messiah's path without having to work too hard.

But Jesus was able to overcome by not following the will of the devil, not following the thoughts of men, and turning and following the will of God.

The path of a believer seems to be turning, but it is the path of life that God leads.

Third, we must become saints who obey the grace of God who restores us.

God never forsakes His chosen children.

Israel sometimes disobeyed, but even then, they did not forsake them.

I just turned the way around and sent it.

If you look at the characters in the Bible, you can see that God turned and raised them up and established them as God's servants.

Moses, who appears in today's text, is a representative person.

God called Moses and brought him to the wilderness to carry out God's work, and there, he overcame the training of faith for 40 years.

Moses could have been in a position of advancement as the son of Pharaoh's princess, but God called him to raise him up to become the leader of the suffering Hebrew nation.

When we look at our lives, we experience that God is leading us differently than we think.

But E, we must become saints who seek God's help by obedience.

Even though the road seems to be turning around and it doesn't seem like a good way, it is trusting and trusting God's grace that is with us and restores us.

At that time, God calls us.

When Moses looked back on his life and lived in the wilderness, God called him, and Moses, who answered his call, experienced the amazing grace of God that led his people out of Egypt.

God did not forsake Moses, but on the contrary, he called him to turn and stand up.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

If any road is blocked before us today, in the name of the Lord, I ask that you become believers with great expectations while thinking of God who works in it and restores us.

We can experience the presence of God with us in you.

Like Moses, we must also hear the voice of God in the burning thorns.

We should not be clinging to the past, but we should be the ones who now experience “the grace of God that restores us”.

I pray in the name of the Lord that today's life will not be a day of disappointment and frustration, and that it will be a precious day to rise again and see the glory of God.
