Title: God Who Whispers / Zechariah 10:8-12

The whistling God/Zechariah 10:8-12

Verse 8 I will whistle against them and gather them, because I redeemed them, and they will multiply as they were before. 9 I will scatter them among the peoples, but they will remember me from afar, and they will live and return with their children. 10 I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, I will gather them from Assyria, and I will lead them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, and they will lack a place to dwell. 11 I will strike the waves of the sea as they pass through the sea of affliction; And the pride of Assyria will be humbled, and the scepter of Egypt will be removed, 12 I will make them strong in the LORD, and they will do in my name, saith the LORD.

==================================================== ====================================

When does a whistle usually blow? When I'm in a good mood, I whistle and play a song with excitement. And it is poured when the shepherds call their sheep, goats, and cattle.

There is a characteristic of whistling. The characteristic of whistling is that it makes a pleasant sound without making a sad sound.

God blew the whistle. Why? It burned, and when did it burn?

Looking at the background of this text, the people of Judah returned to their home country after 70 years of captivity and began to build the temple of God that was torn down with joy. However, they thought that they were building God's temple, but the reason they kept getting interrupted was because God was not with them. So, in this case, they were concentrating on building their own house, even if they wanted to build my own house. At this time, God sent the prophet Zechariah to let them know that they were thinking wrong, and to encourage them to strengthen them and encourage the construction of the temple that was stopped again.

It tells us how much God cares and loves His people.

At one time, they scattered across the country because of their sins, but when the time came, they gathered together while blowing a whistle, and He says that He will continue to do so.

Verse 8, “I will whistle against them and gather them; for I have redeemed them, and they will multiply as they were before.”

He promises that I will not give up, but because I am a people whom I have once scattered, but because I am a people whom I have redeemed, when I gather them again, I will gather them together with great joy and whistling with joy, and gather them and multiply them as I had before.

Verse 9 says, “I will scatter them among the peoples, but they will remember me from afar, and they will live and return with their children. I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, I will gather them from Assyria, and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon. I will strike the waves of the sea when they pass through the sea of affliction, and the depths of the Nile will dry up, the pride of Assyria will be humbled, and the scepter of Egypt will be removed. I will strengthen them in my name, saith the LORD."

It is my promise to come back when I whistle and gather, and to break everything that harms my children so that they may be rich and established.

The word of God is that it is absurd that the construction of the temple failed because I was not with you as you think. It encourages you to stop worrying and start over.

Dear saints, I believe that when God calls us, he calls us with a whistle. by force! no. reluctantly! no. Poor and pitiful! no.

See Zephaniah 3:17. “The LORD your God is in your midst, the Almighty who will save; he will rejoice over you with joy, he will keep his love over you, he will rejoice over you with singing and rejoicing.”

He killed His only begotten Son, forgave our sins, and called Him to be His children. You don't know how much I love you.

Because it was difficult, "God is not with me!" Don't turn around saying, "You're not helping me!" Don't do anything stupid.

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you may go and bear fruit, and that your fruit may abid, that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will receive it” (John 15:16). )

God wants to give us good things. He says we like it and doesn't know what to do.

When I am in trouble, when I am discouraged, when I am lonely and lonely, when I am sad, when things do not work out, I think of the Lord who called me while whistling.
