Title: Good Church, Happy Saints

Contents

It's the first week of 2007. I pray in the name of the Lord that God's grace will always fill your church and your families in the new year. Everyone has set their own goals for the new year. Living without a goal is quite dangerous. Because if you do it wrong, you can easily fall into laziness. So, living with a goal in mind can benefit both the mind and the body because you are always busy to reach that goal.

In the new year, our church motto is “Good Church? Happy saints.” This has two meanings. The first is a realistic meaning of our church today, and the second is a future-oriented meaning that we want to continue to be like this in the future.

There are many people in this world, but not all of them are happy. Likewise, there are many churches, but not all churches are good churches. Also, not all saints are happy. It may sound strange, but believers must be happy unconditionally. There is no reason for this. Because you are a child of God.

I set this motto in prayer, and I am going to think about the word together in the first week of the new year with the hope that this motto will be followed in the future as well. If so, how can we become a good church and happy saints?

First, you must have the assurance and thrill of salvation.

The text shows the scene of blessing the tribes of Israel just before Moses' death. The concluding words after all blessings are found in verses 26-29. Please read the last word among them. Verse 29 says, “Blessed are you, Israel; who is like you, a people saved by the LORD?” It says, ‘Is there anyone else who enjoys the thrill of salvation like the people of Israel?’ Although Moses himself is now disappearing behind the scenes of history, he is admonishing the people who have been saved by God with these words of blessing.

In fact, it is a great pride in our faith to have such assurance and thrill of salvation even today. Because without the assurance of salvation, we cannot be called true saints and true believers. We are children of God, no matter what anyone says. It is a saved people. Hallelujah! Happy Saints Who are Happy Saints? It is a person who is convinced that he has been saved and is moved by it. Expressing this differently, it can be said to “enjoy ....”. You have to enjoy what you have to enjoy. Therefore, it is the role of the church community today to instill the assurance of salvation so that we can enjoy such a thrill.

God is speaking to me today. “Who else in this world has been saved like you?”. That's right. I hope you, who believe in Jesus Christ, believe that we and our community are the happiest saints.

Second, there must be sharing and serving.

Today, we hear a lot about ‘the church is selfish’. Because they only do it for themselves. Even if we have a meeting, only with ourselves, if we exercise, only with ourselves. Because of this perception, the church is being shown to people in a negative image. But what kind of church is really good? It is a church that spreads. It is a giving church. It is a sharing church. It is a serving church. A good church is a church that shares grace, shares love, shares thanks, shares joy, shares everything and serves.

The same goes for saints. Churches and members who are stingy in sharing and serving cannot fulfill the role of light and salt in this world. Evangelism is not possible with a selfish image. Jesus also came to practice the example of service. You are not here to be treated. You came to share and serve. We have to be a little sensitive about this.

Of course, there must be order in the church, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to be treated with an office. As I say all the time, the position was given to serve. People who share and serve, and churches that share and serve, regardless of age, will be recognized and glorified by those who do not believe around them.

Third, we must create a happy life of faith.

This is possible when we personally strive to gather in church. Those who do not know the Lord are stingy in gathering. However, the saved people must make every effort to gather. Acts 2:46 says, “Every day, we made every effort to meet together in the temple together, and to break bread at home, and to eat with joy and sincerity of heart.”

A church that gathers well grows. Prayer, fellowship, Bible study, evangelism, you don't know how much effort the church is making these days. We should always strive to gather in the temple. Because they do not gather when they gather, they are not interested in the life of faith.

These days, even housewives try to learn anything for self-development. Much less, everyone for the growth of our faith and a happy church life! Would you like to just stay? Also, we have to wait for the times when we come to church. Do not wait for the time of ‘nineteen pure’, but wait for the time of worship to be a healthy and happy member.

Dear all! While I am preaching this message today, I am still doing well, but in the new year, I have delivered this message in anticipation of greater strength. Our Gaeum Church is the best church in the world. Also, our members are the happiest members. If you have this mindset, you will be able to lead a fresh and happy life of faith every day.

A good church this year as well as this slogan. In the name of the Lord, I bless you and all of you who are loyal to God as happy saints.
