Title: Good Way, Bad Way

Matthew 26:52 Good way, bad way
In a rural village, there was an elderly couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. However, it is said that the couple never had a fight after marriage. "How could that be?" The villagers were very curious as to the secret to not having a single fight after living as a married couple for 50 years. After the feast, a close friend of the old couple's husband asked quietly. "Honey, how in the world can you live without a fight for 50 years? Can't you teach me the secret?"
Then, strangely, the grandfather took a deep breath and talked about the secret to not having a fight. 50 years ago, the couple got married and went on their honeymoon. Nowadays, when the bride and groom get married, they go on their honeymoon in a limousine, a nice car, or in an airplane or a luxurious boat, but in those days, the husband rides a donkey and the wife rides a donkey on a honeymoon trip.
But the donkey she was riding on did not listen. He kept trying to go sideways and was having trouble. Then the wife got off the donkey and warned the donkey. "This is the first time." Then he got on the donkey again, and the donkey did not listen again and kept trying to go the other way. Then the wife got off the donkey again and warned her in a loud voice. "This is the second time."
But the donkey, ignoring his wife's second warning, got into trouble again, trying to get on the other side of the road. Then the wife got very angry and unpacked the bag and took out a pistol. And without hesitation he pulled the trigger towards the donkey. The donkey died on the spot. The groom, who watched the scene, was really absurd and asked his wife. "No, it could be a dumb donkey. But what if you kill the donkey?" Then the wife pointed her finger at her husband and said firmly. "This is the first time."
Upon hearing this, my husband was stunned. And I was scared. The donkey the wife rode on died, so the husband was forced to put his wife on his donkey, and he took the donkey by the reins and continued the journey. But his wife, who was riding on a donkey, was farting all the time. It was also a very foul-smelling fart. The husband covered his nose at the smell and muttered to his wife to listen. "Things with a bad temperament, the smell of farts is too bad!"
But my wife overheard me murmuring like that. The wife suddenly got off the donkey. Then, with a solemn expression on her husband, he left a word of warning. "This is the second time." Hearing this, my husband became terrified. A little while ago, the wife said to the donkey, "This is the second time." One word came to mind. He began to imagine what would happen to him if he touched his third wife. And in the 50 years since then, there has never been a single fight between husband and wife.
The old couple had never had a fight in 50 years, so to others they looked like a very happy and harmonious couple. However, knowing the inside story, the outward peace and outward reconciliation of the couple was not true reconciliation, true peace. It was a false peace by his wife's coercion and his wife's intimidation. In other words, the way to achieve peace was not good.
Today, we want to learn about the methodology that we Christians should have. We must also have a good purpose, and a good method must follow to achieve that purpose. But some people say this. "War for peace." Of course, I fully understand the context in which this statement came. For example, our country likes peace, but a neighboring country has started a war. At that time, our country can say, "We wage war for peace."
But somehow, this word itself is nonsense. The two words peace and war are completely opposite. If Jesus said, "War for peace," what would people think of Jesus? I would say that it is not truly Jesus-like. Or, "Is Jesus trying to achieve peace that way?" and may give Jesus a pint cup. In other words, if the purpose is good, then the method to achieve the purpose is also good.
Look at the words of Jesus in today's text. After Jesus finished praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, he looked up and saw a multitude of people with swords and clubs trying to arrest Jesus. Then Peter raised his sword and struck Malchus, a servant of the high priest, in the ear. What did Jesus say to Peter at this time? He did not say, "Well done, Peter. To protect me, and for peace, you often have to use a sword." Rather, he said: "Put your sword back into its house. All who take it will perish by the sword."
That is, no matter how good or good a purpose may be, never use a bad method to achieve it. What's more, if you use it in a bad way, you will eventually fail. There are many examples of Jesus' teaching in this good way in the Bible. Jesus said: ?쏧f anyone strikes you with the right span, turn the left one too.??"If you force the duck to go, go ten miles." "If you ask for a coat, give me your underwear."
What do these teachings of Jesus mean? It is none other than that Christians should use good methods to achieve the kingdom of heaven. That is, do not use the bad method of violence and slander, but use the good method of patience, sacrifice and love. Sometimes that method may not work. Because of this, he may be killed unjustly like Jesus. But we must stick to God's way to the end. Only good methods can truly bear the fruit of making the kingdom of heaven beautiful.
Jesus ended his life on earth after using good methods to the end to cultivate the kingdom of heaven. The disciples thought that sometimes violence and political conspiracy were necessary to build the kingdom of heaven on this earth. But Jesus, on the contrary, threw his life on the cross and died for us. In this way, we call him the Messiah, because Jesus died using the method that pleases God.
And God also highly exalted Jesus and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, and give glory to God. made you turn Dear brothers and sisters, we live our short lives and have our own purpose. But keep in mind. In order to achieve that purpose, you must choose the best way. You must use the method Jesus used, and the method Jesus taught.
Once upon a time, there was a poor filial son in his heart. He was a moral man and a scholar. And reading a lot of books was also great. One day, his mother was in a hospital bed, waiting for the day she would die. But one day, Doctor Yong-han came and said that if you eat a thousand dogs, you will get better. Hearing this, the filial piety practiced magic in the middle of the night and turned into a tiger. Then he traveled around the country stealing dogs.
When the filial son stole 999 dogs and gave it to his mother, he was almost cured. Now eat just one more and you will be as good as washed. However, the wife, who thought her husband's actions were strange, burned the book of magic. Then, the filial son who turned into a tiger could not return as a human, so he ran wild as a tiger and was shot to death by a hunter. Then his mother died, and his wife also died. The whole family died while unjustly stealing to save his mother.
This story is a warning that no matter how good or good the purpose may be, the way to achieve it must not be wrong. In other words, the Western proverb, "You must not steal someone else's candles under the pretext of reading the Bible," is also trying to understand this. In other words, the purpose of life must be right, but the method must be even more right. However, nowadays, there is a tendency to ignore the methodology and emphasize only the teleology. In other words, they use bad methods for their own success, for their own wealth and glory. Then, he thoroughly hides the bad methods he used and only boasts of his success and success to others.
Then you are great and proud of yourself. Being buried in people's praise, they deceive themselves into their own lies. But God will see the last day, the Day of Judgment, the method they used. And those who use bad methods will be deprived of their own crowns and gold medals. Then the shame is added. At that time, I was grieving, thinking, ?쏻hy did I do that???And I grind my teeth.
When we go up to heaven and stand before God, God asks, "How great have you accomplished?" Rather than "how did you work?", the reward will be decided. No matter how great things are, if the method is bad, God considers him an evil servant and drives him out. However, even if he died without accomplishing anything, if he dies while using the right and good method, he will be rewarded with a great reward.
Ladies and gentlemen, sometimes the methodology of Jesus may seem ignorant and foolish to the world. It may be considered inflexible and ineffective. But keep in mind. God's method is far better than the clever human method. Please use the honest and good methods taught by the Bible to cultivate the kingdom of heaven, and I pray that you will receive praise and rewards on that day.
