Title: Grace alone / Matthew 15:32-38
Content: Grace alone / Matthew 15:32-38
In Matthew 14, the case of the five bowls is mentioned, and in chapter 15, the incident of the seven bowls is mentioned. Five barley loaves and two fish fed 5,000 people and left 12 baskets, and seven loaves and two small fish fed 4,000 people and left seven baskets. This event shows us that all we need is the grace of heaven.
The Red Sea stretched out before the Israelites who had left Egypt. There was absolutely no answer. “As Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and saw that the Egyptians were mad behind them. The children of Israel were very afraid and cried out to the Lord, and they said to Moses, “There are no burial places in Egypt, so you will bring us out to die in this wilderness. No, why did you bring us up out of Egypt and do this to us?” (Exodus 14:10). However, in this desperate situation, God's grace came and the road to the Red Sea was opened.
No matter how good the circumstances, the place where God's grace has departed is hell. No matter how difficult the circumstances, if you are with the Lord, that place will be heaven. We have to believe in the fact that we can leave a testimony of faith if the grace of the Lord comes upon us even in a dark situation like the Red Sea because it is difficult right now. This is because we are not living by our own abilities, but by the grace of the Lord.
