Title: God's Grace. Sunday Sermon on September 3, 2006.
I believe that God will bless you today.
Grace is something that is received without any reward. When we receive from someone something unexpected, too great, too priceless, we often have a lot of grace by teaching these things. Or they say they have been blessed with a lot of grace.
It happened at a restaurant in Kansas, USA. One cup was served by a customer for a $26 dinner. And when I left, I tipped an employee $10,000.
This customer was a regular who came for dinner several times a month. Two (2) weeks ago, I gave a tip of $100 after eating. Even then, the employee who received the money liked it so much that he didn't know what to do. But today, I received a bigger sum of $10,000.
So Cindy Kiunaura, 35, this waitress froze. To the gentleman's words, "Maybe this is a cool thing, I can buy one," she simply replied, "Ah- yeah-yes."
Everyone! Giving to others is a good thing. Here we are thinking of us ordinary people who are stingy with tips. In Korea, if you go to a restaurant L, they provide the best service, either grilling meat well or cutting it with scissors to make it easier to eat. But when you finish eating, you just wipe your mouth and come out.
Everyone! There are so many special people and good people in this world. There are surprisingly many people who devotedly help others in need, and who like to help others do well.
This is the heart of our God. It is also the heart of our Lord.
During the three (3) years of our public life, our Lord has always been a neighbor to the poor, the marginalized, the sick, and the socially disadvantaged.
Not only that, but at the end of the day, he always went to a high mountain called Gamnamwon and stayed up all night, weeping and praying.
While looking at Jerusalem, weeping while thinking about the future of the nation of Israel.
You prayed. (Matthew 23:37-39).
We can also find these aspects through the Apostle Paul.
First, he had to suffer persecution from his fellow Jews, who were waiting everywhere he went.
Psalm 50:15. Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me. This is the image of our God and the heart of God. In this way, God wants those who are in trouble to get up quickly and get rid of them from any kind of disaster.
It is God who wants the sick to be healed of their disease as soon as possible and to stand up. Kanahanja is God who wants us to get out of poverty as soon as possible.
Our God wants us to do well. Even in the midst of tribulation, even in the midst of hardship and poverty, He is a God who wants everything to go well in any relationship, whether socially or politically.
Therefore, God is a God who gives and does not rebuke those who ask. It's about 1:5. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all without reproach, and it will be given to him. You say this:
Because God is a God who delights to be glorified through us, through our good things. So our God is a glorious God.
Ordinary people get jealous when they see others doing well. My stomach hurts. That is why there is a Korean proverb, “When your cousin buys land, your stomach hurts.” Said. Moreover, if a competitor, or a person with a bad impression, has succeeded or succeeded,
I know that there are not many people who will rejoice or delight in this at times.
But the Apostle Paul, a servant of God, did not do that. The Apostle Paul was always concerned as he thought about various problems with the Corinthian church. So, there were a lot of parts where I felt pain and worried in my heart.
Therefore, it was a time when the Corinthian church was not getting good marks from the Apostle Paul. In some ways, they were truly troublesome. Yet, nevertheless, he wishes them well, and on the contrary tries to encourage and encourage them.
They also thanked God for receiving many graces (blessings) from God. Folks, this is what we Christians should be like. We believers should do this.
At that time, the Corinthians were born with a strong desire for wisdom and knowledge. Among them, Corinth, along with Athens, emphasized the importance of philosophical knowledge. Therefore, they were also very good at speaking and expressing themselves. (1:18-25).
By “every word of mouth” here is the ability to speak the enlightened truth. And “all knowledge” means realizing the true truth, the gospel of the cross of Jesus Christ. The Corinthian church received this grace.
Everyone! God's grace is truly great and wonderful. In the old days, my grandmother and grandfather did not know Hangul. So I couldn't read the book.
However, for some reason, as long as they leave the church and receive grace, everyone reads well.
Even if no one taught me, I watch the hymns carefully and sing along. And I read the Bible very well. It really can't be a surprise. The grace of God thus brings us wisdom and knowledge.
Think about it for a moment. After coming to church, the truth is, we don't know ourselves, but it's true that so much has changed. There are a lot of people who have completely changed after leaving the church. ^^
Now I would like to summarize the words. All of us believers have grace and gifts from heaven. The word that Apostle Paul likes to use here is “charisma”.
Charisma is a gift given at no cost. I can't really afford it,
It is a gift that cannot be attained by one's own strength.
Here, the gift of God is manifested in two (2) forms. First of all, it is “the saving gift of God.” Everyone! Salvation is a gift from God. That is charisma. Establishing a right relationship with God is something we, as sinful humans like us, can never achieve on our own.
This is a gift given only by God's broad love, given without merit. That is why Romans 6:23 says: The wages of sin is death, and the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen Hallelujah!
And secondly, “special talents” or “skills” that we humans have are also “gifts” from God. All personal gifts are gifts from God.
So, if a person has great speech or medicine, or musical or other artistic talents, or fine craftsmanship, all of his talents and skills are gifts from God.
Therefore, if we can only fully recognize this, a new ethos is being created in our life of faith. A new personality is formed.
Everyone! We definitely need to know. Not all of the talents we possess, all the skills we have learned, and the craftsmanship we have are all attained and achieved on our own.
These are all gifts from God. Therefore, those things are entrusted to us by God. For that reason, we will know when to use these things according to God's will, not just according to our desire.
Again, we should use it not only for our own gain or honor, but also for the glory of God and the welfare of others. Because this is a tool to serve (service) our God,
It is for full worship.
So full worship
It's called Completed worship Service Amen.
