Title: Grace of God / Titus 2:11-14
The amazing thing about the church is that it includes all of God's family without excluding anyone. There is no age limit for all ages. There is no class distinction in the church. There are no boundaries between education and wealth. There is no national distinction. That's why Dr. Robert Dewberry says, "The church is God's masterpiece." Because of God's grace, the church can bridge the 'generation gap' and the 'class gap'. So the Apostle Paul tells Titus what to exhort to the elderly saints, what to exhort to the young saints, and what he is also admonishing his servants, that is, today's office workers.
I. Grace saves us. (2:11, 14a)
II. Grace transforms us. (Titus 2:12, 14b)
Grace changes us. Titus 2:12 says, "Nursing us up, leaving all ungodliness and worldly lusts, and living in this world with soberness, righteousness, and godliness", and in verse 14, "... so that they might become his own people who are zealous for Salvation has made a huge difference to us. Salvation, above all else, has brought us a 'change of position'. What position change? Previously, we were in the place of sinners. But now, by grace, I am in the place of the righteous. He was regarded as one without sin. In other words, we who belonged to the devil's family are now transferred to the family of God. This is by being born again. This is a miracle of miracles.
Ⅲ. Grace gives blessed hope. (Titus 2:13)
