Title: Grace of Redemption from the Cross
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2
Jesus Christ became a grain of wheat and died on the cross for us mankind. Paul told the Corinthians that we always carry in our bodies the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be made manifest in our bodies. Where there is the death of Jesus, there is the life of the resurrection.
1. The redemption of souls given on the cross
Because Adam and Eve rebelled against God, sinned and fell, their souls died. In Genesis 2:16-17, "The LORD God commanded the man, saying, From any tree of the garden you may freely eat, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die." Who can rescue us from this death? We cannot be reconciled to God in our own strength and ability. Jesus, the Son of God, came and took on our sins, injustices, ugliness, curses, despair, and death in our place and paid off our sins at once by being torn and bleeding on the cross. 1 Peter 3:18 says, “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.” .
I want your help / I pray to the Lord Jesus / Grant me your salvation and receive me
Receive me the way I am / Receive me, the Lord who died for me
I have fallen into a great sin and I will die forever / You shed blood for me / Make me in Your image and receive me.
Receive me the way I am / Receive me, the Lord who died for me
Jesus saved us at once through the grace of being torn and shed on the cross. He saved us even though we had to be cast away in spite of our sins.
2. All redemption given on the cross
We must realize and know the redemption of all things that was given on the cross. But all these things in which we live have been cursed, and the world has become a world of thorns and thistles. These thorns, thistles, curses, and sufferings were paid off by Jesus on the cross. In Genesis 3:17-18, "He said to Adam, "Cursed is the earth because of you, because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree I told you not to eat. The earth will bring you thorns and thistles, and you shall eat the vegetables of the field.”
In our life, invisible thorns and thistles appear, and we have to work hard to eat fruit. That is why Jesus stretched out his hand to us and said to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, come to me. Our shelter is already in place. As long as we live on this earth, we pass by with passers-by and strangers, but don't worry, because we have a place for you to live forever. The curse has passed. The thorns and thistles have passed, the toil and the heavy burden have passed, and the grace of God has been revealed to us. The beautiful, glorious, and eternal kingdom of heaven had already begun when we lived on this earth.
2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “And you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that while he was rich, for your sake he became poor, so that through his poverty you might become rich.” We need to know that Jesus, who was rich, became poor, so we became rich. Therefore, if we always have God's blessings abundantly and do good works abundantly, God will be glorified and the people of the world who do not believe will see us and applaud us.
If you believe in Jesus, you will not only go to heaven, but while you live in this world, you will be set free from curses, set free from thorns and thistles, and receive the blessing of Abraham.
3. I beg you to be strong.
If you believe in Jesus, you will be healthy. When Adam ate of the forbidden fruit, the soul died, and thus the body died. Both those who do not believe in Jesus Christ and those who believe in Him will all return to dust. But while living on this earth, those who believe in Jesus are healthy.
At Severance Hospital, 100 members of church members and non-believers each were examined and compared. As a result, 40% of the 100 church members were sick, and 80% of the 100 non-believers were sick. As a result of the analysis, four reasons were found: 'First, the church members are healthy because of God's blessing. Second, when church members applaud and sing praises at church, their hearts overflow with joy and peace and stress is relieved, and the muscles and nerves of the whole body are exercised, so they are healthy. Third, the members of the church come and go to pray in the morning and breathe clean and fresh air, so their lungs are very healthy. Fourth, church members come to church and pray to relieve the worries, worries, upsets and anxiety that have accumulated in their hearts, so they do not suffer from tantrums and have no problems with their livers, so they are healthy. Jesus wants our bodies to be healthy with the grace of redemption that started on the cross, and He heals us from all diseases while we are on this earth.
1 Peter 2:24 says, “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness. By His wounds you were healed.” We were healed while we were on this earth before we were resurrected as the body of Christ forever. Bearing the death of Jesus on the cross is the beginning of the redemptive life of Jesus.
-Prayer-
Loving Heavenly Father, thank you that Jesus died for us so that we can experience the resurrection life of Christ.
I pray in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
