Title: Grace on Grace
Content Grace is what those who do not deserve receive, and it refers to receiving a great and precious thing that overflows with wrath. “And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” God's grace cannot be put at a price.
?? free grace
Grace upon grace is grace given freely. Free grace means free, not cheap. I sinned, and God paid the price for my sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by the grace of God through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24). We paid the price and we were saved. The saints who received free grace became God's own, which God paid for. “Give glory to God in your body, for it was bought with a price” (1 Corinthians 6:20). God's grace is a gift. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). Salvation is by grace, not by qualifications. Grace is given freely without labor and without payment. Anyone who comes to Jesus will be saved. Please do not refuse the grace given free of charge.
?? enough grace
Grace upon grace is grace sufficient. Sufficient grace is not sufficient grace because all of my desires are satisfied. It is a sufficient grace given out of dissatisfaction. The Apostle Paul, speaking of his imprisonment, said, “Brothers, I want you to know that what I have suffered has made progress in the gospel” (Philippians 1:12). Paul was ill. It is called “a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan.” I prayed earnestly three times that the disease would go away. God did not heal the sick, but answered, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” It can be called what kind of grace in pain, but sickness and weakness rather penetrated into the arms of God and became an opportunity to gain strength from God. “Therefore, with great joy, I will boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may remain in me...” (2 Corinthians 12:8-11) Please receive more grace and boast of your weaknesses and experience sufficient grace.
?? amazing grace
Grace upon grace is a wonderful grace. It is “the grace of becoming a man.” “It is by the grace of God that I am what I am, and his grace that was given to me was not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:10). To be a person is to be a person. Paul's present character is not what he originally had, but the character that was renewed after he met Christ Jesus. In the past, he was an immature person, an egg (1 Corinthians 15:8), and an unripe person, but he has matured. “I used to be a blasphemer, persecutor, and murderer, but I found mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief” (1 Timothy 1:13), a persecutor of the church of God (1 Corinthians 15:9). But after meeting Jesus, he was elevated to the knowledge of Jesus (Philippians 3:8). It was the grace and truth of Jesus that made people high (John 1:14). Anyone who receives the grace of Jesus becomes a new person. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Just as the earth cannot produce anything without rain and sunlight, we cannot do anything without God's grace. Free grace, sufficient grace, and wonderful grace come to all of us, and receive from the fulness of grace.
