Title: Grace to glorify God (Luke 7:11)
grace to glorify God
Luke 7:11-17
When people ask, “Why do you live?”, nine out of ten answers, “You live to be happy.” Is happiness always the standard of value for people living in this world? bad luck? is said to be in So, I am running fast with my own standard of how much I need to be happy, and how much life I need to get on the track of happiness. But, everyone, how much do you really have to enjoy to be happy? There is no answer here. In other words, if you want to find the answer to happiness in your possessions, that limit is forever. Happiness can be in the invisible spirit world, and much more hidden in one's own world.
People who live with such a grace-centered worldview have a life to follow. In today's Bible text, it is recorded that those who witnessed grace with their eyes and put on their hearts gave glory to God. But what is surprising is the fact that there are so many graces that glorify God today that we cannot even tell them. Knowing this fact is the attitude of those who live in [grace-centered worldview]. Then, what kind of grace is revealed in the text?
First of all, there is the grace that comes from walking with the Lord. It is said that Jesus healed the centurion's servant in a town called Capernaum, and on his way to the city called Daum, his disciples and a large crowd accompanied him. The fact that they walked with the Lord made them experience great grace. Just before entering Nain City, we met a funeral procession carrying the dead, and Jesus intervened in the matter and raised the widow's son from the dead. Isn't this kind of grace impossible to experience without walking with Jesus? It is not that I died and was raised to life, but seeing the poor widow's son from the dead and raised by Jesus must be the grace of companionship.
Then, the grace that glorifies God is the grace of change.
Dear saints!
Are you walking with the Lord? If so, that's a huge blessing. May you live a life that always glorifies God with that grace. Have you experienced a remarkable change in your life through meeting Jesus? If so, it must also be a wonderful grace. I hope that you will live a life that glorifies God with that grace.
