Title: Gratitude (1 Corinthians 10:01-13)
There is a Jewish saying that goes like this:
1) Who is the wisest person in the world?
-A person who always learns from everyone-
2) Who is the strongest person in this world?
-He is the one who overcomes himself.-
3) Who is the richest person in the world?
-A person with a heart that is satisfied with gratitude.-
How are you?
Are you a wise person? Are you strong? Are you wealthy?
What is the greatest gift of the three things in the Bible, and what is the greatest gift?
yes love.
If it wasn't for love, even realizing the subtle truth,
The angel's words and the power to move mountains were of no use.
But everyone!
This precious love is not just a thing.
When you receive love, you can love and have it.
Just because you've been loved doesn't mean you can love everything.
I need to know that the love I have received is grace and have a grateful heart for that grace.
The fruit of the tree of thanksgiving is love.
Everyone!
Don't be gracious to someone you don't appreciate
The kindness bestowed upon him may come back as a dagger.
"A person who knows how to be grateful" Give this person some love and show them grace.
he will fall in love
It is often said that the central idea of Christianity is love.
Yes! Yes.
However, what the Bible emphasizes more is grace and gratitude.
When I know and believe the grace given to me, my gratitude comes to me, and that gratitude is expressed in love.
This is the believer's faith.
Everyone!
Do you want to turn your home, your workplace, and your precious heart and environment into hell?
Feel free to grumble, complain, see anything unrighteously, or criticize anything.
My heart will also become a heart of unhappiness that I cannot bear on my own.
It will be a chilly winter when everyone turns their backs on it.
Do you really want peace in my heart?
Do you want to make all my surroundings so warm like a spring day?
Simple. Thank you. Be thankful for God's grace and thank you for human grace.
Your heart will be satisfied, and your family, church, and environment will be very peaceful and happy.
God is gracious to those who give thanks and hates those who grumble.
According to the Bible, there is only one difference between the prodigal son who went out and the prodigal son who returned.
The prodigal son who went out had a grudge against his father,
The prodigal son who returned had thanks to his father. ( Luke 15:11-24 )
In the end, the farmer in the vineyard was not grateful and killed his master's son.
Among the sins of life, the greatest sin is the sin of killing the Lord.
That's what I'm thankful for. ( Matthew 21:33-41 )
This is also taught in today's text.
:1 "Recalling an incident in Israel's past, would you like to know it?
They were freed from Egypt by the miracle of God's ten plagues in Egypt, and the sea
They crossed over land, and belonged to the great leader Moses, and the pillar of fire and cloud.
They were saved under protection, and they all ate manna with spiritual food from heaven,
They lived in the wilderness for 40 years, drinking spiritual drinks from the rock.
:See verse 4.
They came to be because they were capable, wise, righteous, or their
Not because they were good, but purely by the grace of Jesus Christ, the spiritual rock that followed them.
It's because
:See verse 5.
Why did God make them? He was not pleased and caused many of them to fall in the wilderness.
did you? Those sins are recorded in today's text, and here are some typical sins.
As it is written, it was idolatry. He fell in love with Balaam and committed adultery as a foreigner.
He also said that he tested God, but the truth is that there is a greater sin than all
: It is the sin of verse 10. “The one who grumbled and perished with the destroyer.
It is a sin of resentment. Why? were they resentful?
: This is verse 12. “He who thinks he is standing, be careful lest he fall.”
“He who is born in good standing” is one who thinks himself to be good.
All the grace and love of the 40 years in the wilderness was purely God's grace and love, and they
It was purely God's work to survive Pharaoh's evil scheme to destroy the "seed" that even came into existence.
In grace they thought they were standing on their own.
So whenever God gives us a time to test our faith, we resent and live as we please.
It was idolatry, lewdness, complaints and bad reviews. This is today's text.
He said in verse 6 that this heart is the only one I have at that time and that it becomes a mirror for us who have met the last days.
Everyone! Next Sunday is a very meaningful Sunday for our fellow alumni.
One is Thanksgiving Sunday to give thanks for the grace you have kept under the grace of this year, and
One is that God established our church here and that we
It is the day that God was given the grace to receive grace and live a life of faith here.
"The anniversary of the founding of the church." If there is no thanks to our fellow church members, you can't miss it here.
You will not feel the joy of living your life of faith.
So today we can lift the heavy burden of resentment and complaining that we have accumulated in our hearts.
Let's throw it off and let our hearts be filled with the gratitude of peace and love.
I am giving you this heart. Is your heart grateful?
What are you grateful for?
First, let us thank God for His grace. God who made us out of this world!
God who called me and placed me in the class of salvation, God who loved me and gave his only begotten Son,
God, who helped and guided me to this day as the rock of salvation without knowing it,
What I have come so far It is your great grace that I am here today.
Let us praise the grace of God that cannot be expressed in words.
What I am standing today is by no means standing on my own. my husband my wife my children
It's not something you protect yourself.
Knowing that I have become myself and throwing all the pride I boasted about myself into the sea of grace
Healing my sick soul with the grace of living water raised in the deep spring of the cross.
Let's restore gratitude.
Second, let's restore our gratitude to people. Gratitude to parents, thanks to teachers,
Gratitude for family, gratitude for neighbor, gratitude for church, ....... in relationships with people
Cover all things you resent and hate with the blood of the cross and thank you for that grace.
What I am today is not what I am. There was the grace of parents and the grace of the church
And I became who I was because of the grace of my neighbor.
I am who I am today because of you, and you are because of me.
If you think about it, all you can do is be grateful. Last Friday evening on TV
I see that a professor at a certain university is looking for a teacher in his middle school.
Now that he is a master of vocal music, I found a teacher who made him do vocal music.
Watching the female teacher touching the cheek of another university professor student and being moved
Ah! I thought that it would be surprising to know and realize that grace is a true human relationship.
Third, we appreciate our reality.
Everyone!! Have you lost gratitude because reality is difficult and difficult?
Helen Keller said, "If I had only one wish before I died,
If I could only see you for three days... I would stare at my teacher Schlievan for hours and hours.
I will engrave it in my heart, then I will visit my friends, and then I will go out to the mountains and the fields to be blown away by the wind.
The beautiful fluttering leaves of the trees and the flowers blooming in the field, shining in the setting sun
Beautiful sunsets, the magnificent scene of the sun at dawn and the night sky shining like jewels
I thought I'd spend the day watching it.
Everyone! We who are here today see everything Helen Keller wishes to see.
Any thanks for that?
All the realities we complain about, the losses that come to us, the ones who attack me,
If you know the painful past of falling and stabbing you every day and the path of life like thorns
I know that it is the love of God that made me known.
Everyone! If you had no pain, what kind of person would you be today?
Life itself is a blessing.
Our reality, given the reality of any pain and suffering, is a beautiful thing that is reluctant to be grateful for.
Let's not face our reality with resentment, complaints, and deceit.
Everyone, if you have daily bread, have good health, and have tomorrow, live with gratitude.
We are all people who came empty-handed and will go empty-handed.
A person living in Geumbul Village went to Gamsa Village to give thanks all day, and then returned to his house.
Come back, boy! Gamsachon went to Nol and complained that he had been thankful all day.
There is a story. This world is a village of complaints.
The world is the place where the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of this world are burnt out.
Get out of this world and enter the kingdom of God.
Move your life, belongings, and hope to the kingdom of grace.
Our sight is the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven where we live forever and give thanks.
