Title: Gratitude and Complaint decide your life.

Contents

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Gratitude and complaining determine life.

Compare the two types of people. In a family, a wife always looks at her husband and says: "What the hell are you doing? Oh, my darling! I have a sprained eye! Out of all the men, why did I choose such an incompetent man!" But the wife of another family looks at her husband and says: "Honey, I am so grateful and grateful that you are my husband. If God hadn't paired you with my husband, I wouldn't have known the word happiness."

Take the case of the wife as an example, and so is the case of the husband. There are husbands who are always complaining while looking at their wives, while there are husbands who are always thankful in their hearts when looking at their wives. And in the case of children, there are children who always grumble and complain to their parents, while there are children who grow up early and are always grateful for the grace of their parents. And in the workplace, there are people who always complain about this and that, while there are people who are always grateful for this and that.

You should judge for yourself. Which one do you like? Would you like to have a complainer as your wife or husband? Or do you want to have a wife and husband who is always looking for something to be thankful for, no matter what? And from the parent's point of view, is the complaining child pretty? Is your grateful child pretty? And if you are the boss, would you like to hire the complainer as an employee? Or do you want to write the person you are grateful for as your employee?

And do you want to be nice to someone who complains? Do you want to be nice to the person you are grateful for? The answer to this question is obvious. The person you are grateful for is pretty, the person you are grateful for is good, you want to be kind to the person you are grateful for, you want to be close to the person you are grateful for, you value the person you are grateful for, you want to give something precious to the person you are grateful for, and happiness when you see the person you are grateful for do.

On the other hand, I hate people who complain. A person who complains does not want to give something good, and a person who complains wants to be beaten. And when I see someone complaining, I get annoyed and feel bad. I am unhappy if the complaining person is my spouse. I get angry if the complaining child is my child. If the complaining person is my employee, I'd like to say, "Please leave quietly." Living with a complainer is hell. Heaven is a place where only those who are grateful are gathered, and Hell is a place where only those who complain are gathered.

Do you want to turn your home into a paradise? Always be thankful for husbands and wives, parents and children. It will surely become heaven. On the other hand, it's easy to make a home a hell. No matter how good a house or good food you eat, if you complain all the time, it will inevitably turn into hell. Do you want to be a happy wife? If you look at your husband and always give thanks, you will become a happy wife. Do you want to be a happy husband? Always look at your wife and give thanks. You will surely become a happy husband.

Do you want to live a happy life of faith in a happy church? I would like to thank you first. It becomes a good church, a happy church. On the other hand, if the members constantly complain, the church becomes a bad church. A grateful saint is a good saint. On the other hand, a complaining saint is a bad saint. Those who are grateful become happy, and those who complain become unhappy. A grateful husband and a grateful wife become a happy wife and a happy husband. A person who is grateful is a person who takes care of heaven, and a person who complains is a person who makes hell.

“No, who are you making fun of? How can we be thankful for such troubles and tribulations?” Of course, the average person is prone to complaining when such bad things happen. But who are we? Are you not a child of God? If the living God is looking at me like the pupil of the eye, and such a bad thing happens, isn't there some special reason?

That is, through the tribulation and the problem, does not God have a will to give something better? Right now, the problem is complaining and resentful, but in the future, it will surely become better. Why is there no such thing as phone fraud? Therefore, we can be thankful even in bad circumstances. The Bible testifies of this: “Not only this, but we also rejoice in our tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope” (Romans 5:3-4).

In the Bible, there are people who are extremely unlucky. Probably no one in history has ever been so unlucky, so unlucky, so unlucky. His name is Job. He was a righteous man recognized by God. He was the rich man of the East. He was respected by everyone around him. He had seven sons and three daughters, all of whom were filial sons and daughters.

But what is this? All of a sudden, barbarians attack and plunder all of their possessions. Moreover, while the sons and daughters were having a birthday party, a strong wind blew and the house collapsed, and everyone was crushed and killed. But then he developed sore throats worse than leprosy, and maggots crawled all over his body. You will experience aching pain in your bones. Seeing this, his wife said, "Do you still believe in God? Rather, curse God and die."

Probably no one here today is suffering as much as this. Job was a really tough, unlucky man. At this time, if he was like a normal person, he would have cursed God and died, calling it suicide. But this amazing confession came out of his mouth. “The LORD gave and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:21).

How did God feel when he heard this confession? "It's heartbreaking. Really! I'm in tears. Really!" God must have been very, very, very, very, very touched, very very, very real. And God must have been very moved and said to the angel: "Angel, did you see? How should we repay Job for being thankful in such a situation?" "Yes- I think it is appropriate to give double blessings twice." "Yes, that's right. Do not complain under such circumstances and give thanks twice as much to Job." Hallelujah!

On Thanksgiving Day today, I and you are also thankful, so I wish you a double blessing. Folks, if you want to be cursed, if you want to be unhappy, complain. You will surely be cursed and unhappy. But if you want to be blessed, if you want to be happy, be grateful. You will always be blessed and you will always be happy. In other words, gratitude and complaining determine life.

Guys, how long do you live? Instead of living in curses and misfortunes with complaints and resentment, let's live happily because we are thankful if possible. Moreover, even in this foreign land, if you believe in God and come to the church, the body of Jesus, to worship, how can you not be thankful? Let's say thank you once again. Please follow me.

Confess to the person next to you. "I'm sorry that I judged you ugly. You're a good person. You're loved by God. Let's give thanks together." Dear brothers and sisters, even when you come to a distant foreign land across the Pacific Ocean, you cannot live in such a cursed state, complaining and resenting. We should live with gratitude. Gratitude makes you and me happy. Where there is gratitude, there is also heaven. Gratitude greatly glorifies God. I pray in the name of the Lord that thanks always be in your mouth, and that you give thanks even when you sleep, give thanks when you wake up, and give thanks for everything.
