Gratitude has power. (2 Chronicles 20:20-22)
Today, 38 people from the Somang Church Medical Volunteer Team in Seoul came to serve as free medical services in our Okhwadae area to worship together. It is so beautiful to see the medical team of Somang Church who came all the way here to practice the love of the Lord. We believe in the great reward of our Lord.
Since next Sunday is Thanksgiving Day at Okhwa Church, I have been pondering the words of thanks since last week. Last week, we shared the words of the amazing change that took place in Paul's circumstances, who sang the hymn of thanks at the prison in Philippi, saying that thanksgiving changes the environment. Of course, did you have breakfast with the medical missionary team of Somang Church from Seoul? If there are many places to volunteer near Seoul, will you come to Chungcheong-do? I'm sure you didn't have any regrets. I believe that you came running with a heart of gratitude that you will run to even the most difficult places with the love of Jesus. I say this with a very grateful heart.
Dear all! Like Helen Keller, I hope that you and I will always live with gratitude rather than complaining. Rather than complaining about what I don't have or lack, like Helen Keller, I hope that you and I will be grateful for what you have and what you have given.
Even in today's text, we can feel the power of gratitude is frighteningly strong.
In 2 Chronicles 20:~, the combined forces of Moab and Ammon have invaded. Jehoshaphat, the second son of Obed-edom, was a gatekeeper during the reign of King David, and he became king. In times of crisis, he prayed. gathered people. And praise and thank you. A miracle happened when we were thankful. While praising and giving thanks to God without becoming discouraged from difficulties, God prepared an ambush and gave Jehoshaphat victory. Gratitude brings victory. The blessings and victories that we are grateful for should be our testimonies.
God is pleased with our gratitude. Psalm 50:23 says this: “He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and to him who does the right thing I will show the salvation of God.”
Korea has successfully completed the G20 Summit.
There was a meeting in the area where our Somang Church is located, so life in the Gangnam area must have been very inconvenient. However, during the summit, President Obama's appearance did not seem as bright as before. It seems that his political party did not have a golden smile for some reason, either because his party did not perform well in the election or because the US economy is not good.
I looked at Asia Today on November 11th.
"China's Economic Power Overtakes the U.S. in 2012" was published.
According to a report released on the 10th (local time) by the Conference Board, a leading US economic research institute, China's economic growth rate will increase to 10% this year and then reach 9.6% in 2011. However, in the case of the United States, 2.6% in 2010 and next year
