Title: Gratitude is like a seed

Contents

Gratitude is like a seed (Psalm 107:1-9) 2006.10.01.

my gratitude score

The easiest way to make a person rich is to have a grateful heart. A grateful heart is a heart that can be blessed soon. Everyone has a subject of gratitude. To those who are grateful, gratitude accumulates, and to those who complain, suffering accumulates.

Most people are grateful for the little things, but they tend to be blunt and indifferent to the love of Christ that gives eternal life. The salt of gratitude contains the mystery that makes everything in life delicious.

People undergo a comprehensive check-up to check their health. A normal person maintains an appropriate level of all functions, but a person with health problems has problems with liver, blood pressure, heart, kidney, diabetes, red blood cell and white blood cell levels. Because it is abnormal, he is always nervous and lives with caution while taking medications or being regularly checked by a doctor. Similarly, when evaluating a person, we talk about what kind of person that person is and ask how much intelligence and rich emotions they have. However, when evaluating the state of our Christian faith, we check our spirituality. There is not.

Hometown

In the same sense as hometown, we are reminded of the warm arms of a mother, the kingdom of God, where the ultimate rest and rest of us humans is. When I think of the word hometown, warmth comes to me like a mother's arms. Writer Mun-Yeol Lee presupposed that 'they were the last generation that had a true hometown' and said, 'The path to the hometown you truly loved exists only through memories and cannot be returned to the map of this world.' So, did a poet sang, ‘Even if I go back to my hometown, it is not the hometown I dreamed of’? Nevertheless, people find their homeland. Thousands of people go on the road during the holiday season. People who have left their hometowns are returning to their hometowns. I am still excited to find the hometown I returned to last year with disappointment. The older I get, the clearer my hometown is in my heart. As we spend Chuseok with gratitude for having our hometown, I hope that it will be a holiday that confirms that our true hometown is in God's arms.

Difference Between Prison and Monastery

Gratitude is the easiest way to make a human rich, and a grateful heart is the heart that can be blessed. When Jesus offered a prayer of thanks to God with two small fish and five barley loaves that the boy had, he showed a miracle that 15,000 people ate and there were 12 baskets left. There is a saying that if you want big things in your heart, you will get big things.

Today's word shows us to be thankful for the saving grace of Jehovah. It is God's purpose to save mankind who have fallen from destruction because of sin. Even in the case of Sodom and in the case of Noah's Ark, God is showing that God has the purpose of salvation. Today's sermon shows how God works out the salvation of His chosen people. It shows that the Lord has answered the cry of His people. We cry in pain, cry in failure, and cry in tribulation. In other words, the Lord will deliver us from our pain when we cry out and give us an answer that leads us to the path of salvation. It also says that He makes us able to dwell in the holy city.

The text tells us what we should be thankful for for the love of Jehovah that He has shown to people. God has bestowed upon us ten thousand blessings. We live because of God's grace. We certainly came to this world with bare hands, and God gave us a home, gave us children, received the grace of our parents, and allowed us to share brotherly friendship. He gave us material things and gave us health. It is only the grace of the Lord that He has specially chosen, called, and made them His people. That is, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and my God! It is the grace of the Lord to live with you as my shepherd. Therefore, the text clearly teaches. God loved and gave grace to a people who were lacking in mercy and shameful. And he did wonders for your people. In other words, He trained, loved, and helped His people. He worked through various miracles. And the Lord has satisfied the longing soul. It is also to fill the hungry soul with good things.

Gratitude is like a seed.

Seed means the beginning or the source. A seed is only itself when it has it, but when it is planted, it sprouts and flowers. Likewise, when we say that love is the seed of tears, it is that love does not make you weep right now, but when love begins, you are bound to weep. When we're dating, we cry because we want to see each other, when we get married, we cry because we don't agree with each other, when we meet reality after we get married, we cry because we're sad, and when time passes, we regret when we say, 'When did you love that person?' I shed tears of joy, and some shed tears of emotion, saying, 'I met this person really well.'

Which of the two are you? I hope that you will always live a life that is moved and grateful for love and sheds tears of joy. If you know these things, prepare well and deal with them, you will be less hurt and shed less tears as a wise person. Likewise, to say that gratitude is the seed means that gratitude is the beginning and the source of everything. Right now, I don't know what to be grateful for. We do not know whether gratitude is a blessing, a success, a failure, or a curse. However, if you give thanks, if you plant it in the field of faith, you will realize that thanksgiving is the beginning of all blessings.

When the world was in the vortex of World War II, a German plane bombed Britain. As a result, England was in ruins. Then, after World War II, beautiful flowers bloomed on the beaches of England. It was a flower that no one knew. So, the botanists studied and found that the flower was a flower from as far away as Australia, and it was carried by wind and water to the shores of England. At that time, the land on the coast was overturned by the bombardment, and the plants were planted to bloom. In other words, hardship, war, bombing, and pain made flowers bloom. Likewise, in our lives, God's blessings are hidden, but for some people, there is a life in which flowers bloom because of hardship and the pain of war.

Just as infinite and abundant life is condensed in a single seed, so the grateful heart of a Christian filled with faith and love contains tremendous spiritual power and wisdom. Hundreds and billions of years ago, dense forests and giant dinosaurs buried deep in the ground were crushed by huge mountains and thick rocks for hundreds of millions of years and billions of years ago, with tremendous energy such as oil, coal, and natural gas, beautiful and hard gems such as diamonds were created. As it was, the lives of people of faith who overcame wounds and trials by carrying all the burdens of history and society at the bottom of history and society for thousands of years and tens of thousands of years contain tremendous spiritual life energy and beautiful spirituality such as jewels. Just as green grass sprouts through the frozen ground, just as grass seeds sprout and bloom when they pass through the belly of an ox or a horse, so all Christians who know how to make a confession of thanks in their faith will overcome harsh oppression and exploitation and will survive vigorously and beautifully. .

Who gives you happiness? Thank you. Gratitude indicates a mature and healthy personality, and gratitude indicates being a child of God. Gratitude is a vessel to receive fullness. When you are grateful, you are happy and others are happy. When gratitude dies, everything dies; when gratitude dies, everything comes alive. A grateful person is healthy, and no one is thankful, and a grateful person is peaceful and has no worries. Therefore, I hope that the saints will always be thankful. A blue traffic light is lit in front of those who are grateful, and a red light is lit in front of those who complain. The season of fruition should soon be the season of gratitude. I hope that all members of Yeongam Church, who are celebrating Chuseok, can bear fruit with thanks.
