Title: Great faith is built through obedience

Contents

As the global economy is difficult these days, the domestic economy is also not very good.

It is said that it is getting better in the media, but it does not seem to touch the skin of ordinary people.

According to statistics, the per capita debt is 1.5.63 million won, and the total personal debt is 757 trillion, which is almost three times the national budget.

The sad thing is that people in their 30s, who have to work the hardest, have the highest debt ratio.

It doesn't seem so easy for the common people to get a loan from the first financial sector, such as the so-called "blocking back" of credit cards.

Ex) The boss who changed it to a good car

The text also mentions a woman who gets out of crisis with God's help just before her two sons are taken as slaves due to debt.

So, let's take a look at how we were able to pay off our debts and how we can overcome the current economic difficulties.

First, because he obeyed.

He died while working hard with Elisha, and Chae-joo insisted on a debt and threatened to take his two sons as servants if he couldn't pay it off.

Then the woman comes to Elisha and asks for help.

Elisha gives an incomprehensible answer.

Verses 3-5, “Then he said, “Go out and borrow a vessel from all your neighbors, and ask for an empty vessel, but not a little.

After the woman withdrew and closed the door with her two sons, they brought a vessel to him, and he poured it out.”

And the woman puts his words into action.

Hebrews 11, known as the chapter of faith, summarizes and introduces the lives of many people with good faith.

What they have in common is that they not only embraced the Word in their hearts, but revealed it with their lives.

acted.

obeyed.

Jesus did not do the work out of his own thoughts, but he thoroughly obeyed God's will.

Romans 5:17-19 “For if by the one man’s trespass death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one Jesus Christ.

Therefore, just as by one trespass many came to condemnation, so by one act of righteousness many were justified to life.

Just as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man's obedience many will be made righteous."

The disobedience of one man, Adam, lowered mankind into sin, and the obedience of one Jesus saved us.

So, why is it so difficult to obey?

Yes, because your thoughts are strong.

In 2 Kings 5:11 we read, “Naaman was angry and withdrew, saying, ‘I think that he should come to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over his place to heal his leprosy.

If my thoughts take precedence over the Word of God, I cannot obey them, and the blessings of Jehovah Jireh that God has prepared will belong to someone who is silently obedient in front of the Word.

The reason that the period of the Judges was such a chaotic and spiritual dark period was because he lived his own life with his own thoughts as the standard.

Judges 21:25 “In those days there was no king in Israel, so every man did what was right in his eyes.”

Second, you need to prepare a large vessel of faith.

Verse 6: “When the vessel was full, the woman said to her son, Bring me another vessel.

I try to think like this.

If the borrowed vessel continued to overflow when pouring the remaining oil, all the vessels in the neighborhood would have been borrowed, and if possible, a large vessel would have been borrowed instead of a small vessel.

The oil of God's grace and blessing is still flowing.

It just matters if you are ready to receive it.

Matthew 15 introduces us to the great faith of the Canaanite woman.

Jesus treats her as a dog and treats her with a nuance as if he is ignorant, but because of this Canaanite woman's faith, her daughter is eventually healed.

Jesus praises this woman's faith as great faith, not ordinary faith.

Matthew 15:28 “Then Jesus answered and said to her, “Woman, great is your faith; it will be done as you wish.” And from that hour her daughter was healed.

Ex) Elijah (1 Kings 17:9) Creating great faith through training (Sidon)

Ex) Gideon (Judges 7:2-3) does not respond. Total trust in God.

Ex) Peter (Matthew 14:31)

A true great belief is to go beyond circumstances and circumstances.

I have a child who lived in an orphanage and was adopted into a family.

His adoptive parents truly loved and cared for him as if they were their own children.

Therefore, the child did not have to worry in the slightest about what to eat and what to wear.

However, the child had a habit that never went away, which often broke the hearts of the parents.

It was the habit of hiding something to eat in a place only he knew.

It is often hidden and forgotten, so if you go through every nook and cranny for cleaning or laundry later, you will find food that is no longer rotten and inedible.

Such a habit must have been one of the important wisdoms of surviving in orphanages in the past.

But it was completely unnecessary under good parents.

Not only that, it was an act of distrust that broke the hearts of parents who loved them as their children.

In this way, people who believe in Jesus worry about the things of the world, not because of circumstances, but because of their unbelief in God the Father, who provides everything according to their needs.

James 1:6-8 “But ask in faith, and do not doubt at all. The one who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

He is a double-minded, undecided in all things.”

A person who doubts will spend the rest of his life in a storm.

The problem is not the environment, but the lack of trust.

On the other hand, there are people who do not fluctuate despite the difficult environment.

Like a ship anchored in the harbor, they live a solid life.

Because I have great faith.

Organize your words.

Romans 6:6 says, “We know that our old self was crucified with Jesus so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and that we would no longer be slaves to sin.”

Economic life on this earth is not everything.

How hard is the life of a debt-ridden debtor?

We all belonged to the evil devil because of Adam's sin, but we became children of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus paid the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross.

Just as we experienced the miracle of paying off debts by obeying the Word in the family in the text, I hope that the debts in our lives can also be resolved.

Do you want to solve the problems that are piled up by God's intervention between spirit and body?

Obey, hold on to the Word, and act!

Face the problem with great faith!

God pours out as much as we are ready.
