Title: Great Light Jesus Christ / Isaiah 9:2

Contents

1. The atmosphere of Christmas is felt more quickly outside the church than it is inside the church. As soon as December begins, stores that sell goods decorate the Christmas tree and heighten the atmosphere.

2. In the case of churches, it is normal to decorate the tree and light the twinkle only in the second week of December, and only diligent churches will see decorations after the first week.

3. However, this year seems to have become more calm than before. If it is because of the influence of the campaign to spend Christmas quietly, it would be very fortunate.

4. We should remember the meaning of Christmas, but it is very unfortunate if we are excited without knowing the meaning. Because the Lord came to enlighten such people.

5. The truth is not known in the dark. Lies are all over the place. When the Lord came, there was nothing but darkness.

I. Darkness ruled the world (2a).

A. Why was it dark?

1. Human greed to become equal with God drove out the light from this earth. It is greed to occupy the same position as the slave master. This is not only applicable to Adam and Eve in the old Garden of Eden.

3. Why did the “who who” who registered the same as me become the deacon, and I protest and get upset about why I should be bad. There is no light as big as the eye of a needle.

4. In the military in the era of democratization, there is an incident where a private soldier assaults an officer and the officer deserts and turns the whole world upside down. It is a gloomy image filled with only darkness.

5. It is a world where public officials secretly intercept the taxes paid by ordinary citizens. It's just a naked figure that shows how miserable humans are who are captivated by sin. It is an accusation of the law.

6. Although there was a “law” that pointed out and punished sins, there was no power of re-creation to change. It becomes more difficult to see oneself in a dark place. If you can see it, you will recognize the wrong things, but if you can't see it, you will not be able to tell, and you will fall, fall, and fall. So, there is nothing but resentment about who makes me feel so uncomfortable.

7. In a society without light, “law” acts as the master. However, there is no forgiveness in a society governed by the law. There is no forgiveness, no mercy, no generosity. There is nothing to endure. So only “a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye” dominated.

B. In a world without the Lord, only darkness reigns.

1. If we say we believe in the Lord, but are anxious about the future or are gripped by the fear of disease, it is because we have not received the light of Christ.

2. If you don't have the assurance of salvation and you donate money to save face or do volunteer work, a greater darkness will settle in your heart.

3. Acts without the Lord are easy to get tired of and easily exhausted. And he only regrets his actions.

4.Is there no such phenomenon in me right now? If for some reason you are not interested in something that is not happy, there is only one reason. Because “the Lord who is light does not exist” yet.

5. If your heart is angry even if you hear a little sad voice from others, or if you try to control yourself, it is because the Lord does not exist. Because it is full of darkness.

II. Jesus Christ overcame the darkness (2b).

A. He made everyone receive the benefit of light.

1. The Lord came to the land of Judea. Since Moses, they have transmitted the law. And I feared God. They could not dare to call on “Jehovah” to keep the word because they were told, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord in vain,” and they were so proud that they forgot the name of the God they believed in so much.

2. It was very natural for the Lord to come to Judea. But a problem arose. In fact, the Lord visited his land in human form, but they did not know their master. The Lord still comes to us from time to time, but we still oppress Him. Sometimes he comes in the form of a leper, and sometimes he comes to us in the form of a beggar, but we do not recognize him.

3. There are many more people who neither God nor Jehovah nor the Lord know. So the Lord shed this light on “everyone”. The Lord shone this light on the slave trader Newton, the murderer Dae-doo Kim and other supremacists, the scientist Pascal, and the musician Haydn everyone.

4. This light shone on the land of the Iron Curtain of North Korea. So, Lieutenant Cho Chang-ho, who was a prisoner of war at the time of 6.25, shined until the end and eventually led him to the land of freedom. The reason he did not give up on his life was because the “Lord, who became the light,” illumined his heart to the end.

B. There is light in those who have the Lord.

1. The Apostle John introduced Jesus Christ as “the true light that illuminates darkness.” Because he himself was locked in darkness and found light through Jesus Christ, who became the light.

2. Ms. Yang Jeong-jin was blind, but because she found the light of her heart through Jesus Christ, she was able to lead those who were blind in spirit even with normal eyes to the light.

3. Dr. Young-Woo Kang is blind, but overcame his obstacles and became a doctor. He also became a full-time doctor, not an unofficial doctor who said it was fake. It was because the Lord had enlightened his heart.

5. If there is light in my heart... .Why does hate exist on this earth? Why should there be quarrels in the church? Because there was no light. The Korean church is sick because there is no light, and our church is not reviving because of the lack of light.

conclusion

1. The Lord who came to this earth defeated the forces of darkness. Hatred drove out hatred and gave forgiveness and peace.

2. Accepting the Lord does not simply mean a change of language. Is there light in that soul? It is a question of whether there is darkness.

3. The light swallows up all the forces of darkness and dissolves them. Don't just let the quarrels between brothers and sisters go. Let's live in the light.

4. Christmas is a day to confirm “Is there light or darkness in me?”
