Title: Great Man

Contents

Bible Text: Genesis 1:26-30

great man

“Galmuri” sung by Na Hoon-ah begins like this.

I don't know why I'm like this/ I don't know why I'm like this/ Even if I can't pinch myself

I don’t even know how sad I feel/ I know that I have to forget/ I know it’s someone else

I don't know why I'm doing this while I know/ Tears were welling in my eyes/ I really hate myself for doing this

I really hate myself like this/ I know it shouldn’t be like this/ I know it’s a dream in the past

Even though you obviously know that it is/ you can’t catch my heart/ I really hate myself like this

I really hate myself for doing this

This song is not just a lament for that person. We are all like that. I'm a human being, I'm really pathetic, I don't like it even if I look at it, but when I look at myself, everyone has that side. But people are great. It is a superior being that cannot be compared with anything else in this world.

The Bible expresses the value of man in this way. “What is a human being that you care so much for, and what is a human being that you care so much for? He placed him next to God and crowned him with honor and glory” (Joint Translation Psalm 8:4-5). You can be successful if you have confidence. Humans are great by nature. He is a little less than an angel. “Psalm 8:5 You made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor.”

Man made in the image of God

Why are people great? Because they were made in the image of God. Because monkeys did not evolve to become humans, but were created in the image of God, they have great and “mighty” power. The words, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, saith God” (v. 28) refer to the origin of man that man was created in imitation of God. God is a spirit, and man is made in the image of God. It is a being created by God Himself by hand, imitating the images of the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, “in our image”. A true human can only come from believing in creationism, not evolution.

The word “image” in Hebrew is “zelem” and in English “image”. It means “the quality and appearance peculiar to itself”. The fact that human beings were created in the image of God means that human beings were made like God, and it is the basis of how precious human beings are. Man is the final masterpiece created by God Himself after Himself.

God is the Almighty and the Creator of all things. God's power and creativity reside in man. Human power is as limitless as the power of Almighty God. Today's scientific civilization was created by humans. God created man, and man created culture.

In order to see people rightly, you have to look through the eyes of God. Don't look at me who is weak and shabby, but look at me who has abilities and creativity. To know what kind of power lurks within you, you have to face something.

The first sign that Jesus made water into wine at a wedding feast in Cana was when his mother, Mary, was unavoidably stimulated to say, “There is no wine,” when she thought that the time had not yet come, and for the first time did it. God can do everything, and man can do many things.

Helen Keller said, “I am the only one, and that fact does not change.” Even though he was a disabled person who could not hear, speak or see, he found his worth and left a big mark in history. Many people doubt their potential and abilities. Without realizing the giant within them, they bury the talent God has given them. “There is no limit to one's abilities, and the highest is open to all. But whether you can be the best depends on your choice.” (Hadisism) Humans are great. Believe in God, believe in yourself, and realize your great dreams.

A human made out of clay

Man is great because he is made of earth. The material God used to create man was clay. The Hebrew word for the soil the Bible speaks of is “Adamah” and “Adam”, which means man. “The Lord God formed man out of the dust, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). He also used soil to build various animals. As it is said, “Out of the dust the Lord God made every beast of the field and every bird of the air” (Genesis 2:19), the earth was used as a building material for humans and animals. In addition, the soil is the foundation from which all plants take root, grow and bear fruit.

Soil is the source of infinity and abundance, the source of all things. Everything comes from the soil. Soil, the material from which God created Adam, symbolizes the material of the universe. Soil is the place where the soil is plowed and seeds are sowed to yield a bountiful harvest.

In Genesis 3:23, we see the words “to plow the ground from which he was born”. The common translation reads, “Because it came out of the ground, he plowed the ground for agriculture.” The work of a farmer who plows the land and the work of developing humans are the same thing. If the ground is left alone, only weeds will grow and live animals will run around. If you plow and fertilize the land, it will become fertile ground, and if you sow seeds there, you will reap a bountiful harvest 30 times, 60 times, or 100 times.

The more people develop, the greater potential is discovered. We learn that human possibilities are limitless. A penniless sick man read the Bible and realized the mystery of creation given to Adam. And I declared this to myself. “I am the splendid and abundant material of the universe. My body and mind are beings built with the soil of infinite sources.” His illness passed away, and he got a job and got up anew.

To get living water, you have to dig tens of hundreds of meters into the ground and touch the water veins that run deep. The bottled water obtained there has an incomparable taste to the water obtained from a lower place. I am the only one who can use my powers. We need to develop human resources that are more precious than water resources.

A person is called 'man' in English, and in Old English, 'man' is said to be 'mind'. A person is a ‘mind’. What is Mind? Mind, spirit, intellect, intelligence, thoughts, intentions, and desires. The mind is a person. That's what a person with such a heart is. Such a spirit is human. The mind is the soil. Thinking must be productive and creative.

Soil is great. Because it is the foundation upon which all living things live. Buildings are also built on the ground. Animals and fish live on the earth. As the English proverb says, "If you want to know that it's impossible, you have to do it yourself." It is a sin to deny and ignore my own abilities. What is my identity? Soil. Let's touch the soil again. Let's analyze me, develop me and utilize me.

A human being blessed by God

Human beings are great because they are blessed by God. A beggar went to a wealthy merchant and begged. The merchant was angry. I was upset when a healthy person came to me and begs me. “You are so shameless. It makes sense to beg while having bull-like legs. Without legs…” said the beggar. “Then cut off my ox-legged leg for a few bucks from you?” he said and walked away.

When I saw it on TV, I asked a question and there were four answers, and one of them was the correct answer. I saw that the incorrect answers were deleted one by one. It erases the wrong answer and leaves only the correct answer. After erasing non-human things one by one, the last remaining one is a true human being. A person who begs while being healthy is not a healthy person.

Look at verse 28. “God blessed them, and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish, and subdue the earth, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Blessing here means “to multiply abundantly”. It is a blessing to grow and multiply. May you receive the blessing of increasing your faith and increasing your wealth.

Growing up is a blessing. It is to be born and raised. It is a blessing to bear fruit and multiply. To increase, to grow, to become strong is the blessing of prosperity. As the Jewish proverb says, “God helps the poor. He protects them from expensive sins.” “There is nothing that cannot be done with money,” said Sexpeare. All roads are open.”

He said to “rule” the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing on the earth. What God has commanded to rule is material things. It is God's blessing to rule the material world. “I give you every seed-bearing plant and every tree that produces fruit on the face of the whole earth, says God, and they will be your food” (verse 29). Our jobs, businesses, and economic activities are blessings that God has given us. It is fair labor to go out and collect the manna when it comes down. You have to harvest it before you can eat it. You have to seek and obtain and sow to reap. It is said that the beans in the cauldron must also be boiled before eating.

“Blessed are you, Israel. Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD? He is your shield and the sword of your glory. Your enemies will be subject to you, and you will tread on their high places” (Deuteronomy 33:29). It is the privilege of authority. He gave man the authority to rule. 1 Corinthians 11:7 says, “Man is the image and glory of God.” The man referred to here refers to an authority who rules. Declare God's blessings with spiritual authority. In the name of Jesus, I pray that you will defeat the devil, overcome disease, poverty, and curses, and become happy.

Man is the lord of all things. He is the head of all things with a mysterious power. Humans are like God, second only to God. Alchymides said, “Give me a place to stand. I will shake the earth.” There are three lives that are alive and not living. The first is a human being who lives with the sympathy of others, the second is a human who is ruled by his wife, and the third is a human who always feels pain in his body. It's from the Talmud.

Humans are great. Saints are honored. He is a noble person, created in the image of God. We are beings made of dust. It holds endless possibilities. We are a bundle of blessings that God has commanded. Please have self-esteem and buy with confidence.
