Title: Great Revival/ Acts 5:12-16
Content Sermon Title The Great Revival
Preacher Kim Jo
The Bible Acts 5:12-16
1. God's power was manifested in the church a lot. (Verses 12, 15)
2. We must strive to become one. (Verses 12 and 16)
The work of revival was accomplished when we tried to gather together.(12,16) When we gathered in Acts 1:4, the final command was given, and in 1:14, when we all worked hard to pray together, the Holy Spirit came down, and in 2:1 we were in one place. When we gathered together to pray, we experienced the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. When the body and mind became one, the work of revival appeared. “One person will be defeated, but two can overcome it, and a three-fold cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Prayer answers will be given to those who agree (Matthew 18:19,20). In Hebrews 10:23-25, we are told to strengthen our faith in our faith, look out for each other, and practice love, saying, “Do not gather together, as is the habit of some who are defeated, but encourage them, and do more as the day draws near.” Saints! When we strive to gather together with one heart, we will live and the church will be revitalized. It often interferes with the gathering of the surrounding environment and falls into temptation and delusion. Now, we hope that we will become a new one and become a leading player in revival.
3. You must become a saint who is respected and loved by the world. (verse 13)
The unbelieving Jews are not willing to deal with them, but the people praised those who believed in Jesus that is, they praised, respected, and loved them. By setting an example in the lives of the saints, we need to be recognized even by non-believers, so that we can confess that believers are different. To believe in Jesus is to follow Jesus, to put into practice his words, and to follow that love. When that happens, the people of the world will respect and love you, and the church will be revitalized by following them too. The influence of Christianity in the founding and early days of the Republic of Korea was absolute, and all the great leaders of the nation came to believe in Jesus and the church was revitalized. But now, instead of being respected, I feel like I am being trampled and thrown outside like salt that has lost its taste, being the object of disrespect and criticism. From now on, I hope that you will be renewed from me and show Christ to many people and become a saint who is respected and loved.
I will finish speaking.
Because the great revival of the early church must be in my heart, family, business, and church, I must repent thoroughly and be filled with the Holy Spirit to show the power of God's grace a lot in the church. As life is recognized by the world, we hope that it will become a life of saints that achieves great revival by increasing the number of believers through us.
