great victory
(Text: Colossians 2:12~15. Hymns: 159, 402)
Crucifixion was the most severe punishment ever given to a man.
Jesus was put to death on a crucifixion in such a terrible, terrible and cursed way.
Those who witnessed this scene at the time thought that Jesus was a complete failure.
From a human point of view, isn't this a natural and proper conclusion?
1. First, victory over sin and death.
Verse 13 says, “And you, who were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God will
He saved us and forgave us all our sins...”
The greatest tragedy of human beings is that they first sinned against God.
We know that our Jesus, through his death on the cross, has overcome this death and saved us.
I believe.
2. Second, victory over the condemnation of the law.
Verse 14 says, “Blot out the deeds written in ceremonies which are against us and which are against us,
He did it and nailed it to the cross… “What is the deed written in question?
says the law.
This law accuses us of sinners. condemned to be punished.
And no one is righteous and free from the condemnation of the law. No one.
But Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the law through his death on the cross.
So please believe that He has set us free by offering a new impartiality.
3. Third, victory over Satan's power.
In verse 15 we read, “By putting off principalities and powers, he revealed them in a clear way, and he triumphed over them on the cross.”
Says That is why the Bible calls Satan the ruler of the world.
On the cross, Jesus stripped this Satan of power.
Please believe that anyone who leans on the cross will be freed from the power of Satan.
How to overcome the temptations and sins of the world?
Look to the cross and hold on to it.
Then, believe that the Lord's resurrection and victory are ours today.
