great warrior! (Judges 6:11-18)
■ Judges 6:11-18
(11) And the angel of the Lord came to Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezerite, and sat under an oak tree. Just as Gideon the son of Joash was threshing wheat in the winepress, not wanting to tell the Midianites.
(12) The angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon and said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."
(13) Gideon answered him, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why have all these things happened to us? And did our fathers say to us early, Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?” Where are all the miracles that have been done? Now the LORD has forsaken us, and has delivered us into the hand of Midian.
(14) And the LORD said to him, "Go and save Israel from the hand of Midian by your strength, have I not sent you?"

Last Monday, I got a phone call asking me to write a petition for my son. The story is that on February 5, a young man took advantage of lunch time to enter the parish and steal an instrument, but his license plate number was exposed and he was eventually caught. As a result of the interrogation, he was under probation for 6 crimes and 6 crimes of stealing musical instruments while visiting more than 20 churches in the Ilsan area. Of course I declined.
However, the next morning, as I was praying at dawn, the instruments caught my eye and the mother's voice, “My son, he wasn’t like that in the first place…” kept hitting my ears. I decided that I should write a petition, and after many twists and turns, I met the mother, wrote a petition that was sent to the judge with all my heart, and returned it in her hand. In the eyes of others, he was a criminal with a previous criminal conviction who had no more hope, but in his mother's eyes, he was nothing more than a good and delicate son.
We are vicious sinners, broken and torn from head to toe (Isaiah 1:5; Romans 3:10-15). However, God sees us as precious and honorable beings (Isaiah 43:4), like doves without blemish (Song 4:1, 7). The reason is that we are children of God (Psalm 2:7; Isaiah 1:2; Matthew 5:48; 6:6; Romans 8:16). Then how can we please God the Father?
Microcephaly (小頭症, microcephaly) is a unique disease that is degenerative without a large brain, and usually stops growing in the brain of a 9-month-old child. That's why you have to keep your nipples in your mouth, wear a diaper, and take anticonvulsant medications every day. One day, I saw a video of parents raising siblings like this, and the children's parents were very bright.
Children who won't hurt even if they put it in their eyes, they said they can't go past the age of three, but I'm so grateful that they lived past the age of eight. So is our God. God prefers the title ‘Father’ (Jeremiah 3:4, 19; Matthew 6:9). This means that you want to live your life in constant awareness of your relationship with God. Why is this so important?
Here is a man who is so timid that he stays in a crypt in the mountains, trembling with fear, and threshes wheat in a winepress for fear of losing even a handful of food there (Judges 6:15). In this way, the Lord (Judges 6:11, 14) appears to him, who is desperate to save his own life, and does not call him 'Gideon', but calls him 'a mighty warrior' (Judges 6:12). ). 'Great warrior' has the meaning of 'eldest son' in addition to 'a strong man' and 'one who is strong in war'.
The position of the eldest son in Israel was truly remarkable (Genesis 25:26, 31; 48:8-15; Luke 15:31). God is making a mark on Gideon that he is the firstborn son and a great warrior. The reason that God calls him is important because when God speaks once, he does exactly what he said (Genesis 1:3, 9). God is not ignorant (Numbers 23:19). When this God called Gideon a ‘great warrior’, he actually became a ‘great warrior’. Likewise, if God only thinks of us once and calls us only once, amazing things can happen in the field of our lives.
The problem, however, is that God appeared to only Gideon among the Israelites at that time and said, “Great warrior!” It's not that he's ready or that he has any potential or that he's smart and smart. This was the total grace of God (Judges 6:17; Exodus 33:19). So who do you give grace to?
In the age of Judges 6, in a very difficult and difficult time, a prophet appeared and preached about God, whom he could not even remember (Judges 6:8-10). After hearing this, Gideon meditates deeply on God and his deeds (Judges 6:8-10). 6:13). Specifically, it focused on the Passover event that led the ancestors out of Egypt (Judges 6:8, 13), which is a foreshadowing of the atonement event of Jesus Christ, namely the Gospel. )is.
Dear all!
When the bloody gospel of the cross dries up, God's grace also dries up. The most dangerous is when the gospel sounds clich d. But when this gospel shakes my heart again, grace is also fully revealed. When God thought of Gideon, he appeared to him and said, ‘Great warrior!’ He truly became a ‘great warrior.’
When we cross the desert called suffering, if we meditate deeply on God and the crucifixion, God also thinks of us and calls us ‘great warriors’. And at that moment, you will stand tall as a great warrior of God and a person with the ability to solve the problems at hand. Do you know the parable of the returning prodigal son (Luke 15)? Augustine says: “When he was a little hungry, he thought of the oatmeal, but when he started to get very hungry, he thought of his father.” From the moment he thought of his father, his father's grace began to appear in him. When God said to Abram ‘Abraham’, he became a father of nations, and when God said ‘Sarai’ to Sarai, he became the mother of nations.
When he said to Jacob ‘Israel’, he truly became a conqueror of God. When he said to Mary, “the one who has received grace,” she conceived and bore a child by the Holy Spirit. When he spoke to Simon, ‘Peter,’ he became a rock. When the Lord speaks, it is just as it is.
♬ 1) As Jesus spoke, the water changed and became wine. As Jesus spoke, Badimeus opened his eyes. Verse 2) Jesus said that Lazarus from the dead came to life. Jesus said that the rough sea calmed) Jesus also speak to me and change me anew ♬ ... What kind of situation are you in right now? What do you think about in the field of life? Think of God and the gospel of the cross. God will think of you. “Great warrior, the Lord is with you (Judges 6:12)” This is the voice that calls me today, and I hope that ‘great warrior’ will be my name. I hope that you will receive these words with faith and be re-created as great warriors, stand up vigorously, and enjoy the grace of the Lord to your heart's content.
