Title: Growth of Faith (Ephesians 4:13-15)
Contents
We will all become one in the belief and the knowledge of the Son of God, until we become a perfect man, to the fulness of the stature of the stature of Christ."
What should I do if my mother's baby is not seated? It's summer now, and the mountains and rivers are growing all over the place. We hope that our faith will grow as well. Those who first believed in Jesus and started their faith must develop their faith every day. (Hebrews 5:12-14) “Since the time is long, you should become teachers. Who should teach them, they are those who drink milk and cannot eat solid food? For everyone who drinks milk is a child, and has never experienced the word of righteousness, and has grown up with solid food. those who do."
I. What's the benefit of being a trustee?
It becomes heaven ①Inwardly: Peace, rest. ② Outwardly: Abilities and targets appear.
(Genesis 2:1) “The heavens and the earth and all things came to an end, and on the seventh day the work that God had made was finished, and on the seventh day he rested from the work that he had made.”
II. What does it mean for trust to grow up?
1. To become like Jesus.
(Ephesians 4:13) "And we will all become one in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, to the point of becoming a perfect man, to the stature of the stature of the stature of Christ."
It is to change from self-centered to God-centered and to live in God's image, which is an effort to be in harmony with Jesus.
2. It is filled with the Holy Spirit.
If I have accepted the Lord, every aspect of my life should be colored with Jesus. The fullness of Jesus is the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
(Ephesians 5:18-21) "Do not get drunk with wine, for this is debauchery, but be filled with the Holy Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, in everything the Lord Jesus Christ Always give thanks to God the Father by name, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ."
nature must change. A person who knows how to be led by the Holy Spirit.
3. You must know how to throw away what you want to throw away and take what you want to take.
(Ephesians 4:31) “Let all bitterness and wrath and wrath and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice” (Ephesians 4:20), “but ye have not thus learned Christ.”
It is different when you enter the church. It is a life where old habits are thrown away and are renewed in the spirit. Habits must change. Worship, language, customs, and interpersonal relationships must change.
(Ephesians 4:20) "But ye have not thus learned Christ." (Ephesians 4:22) “Put off your old self, which is corrupt according to the lusts of temptation, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, created after God in righteousness, truth and holiness.
Ⅲ. The goal of the trustee is Jesus.
The word Christian means to be like Christ (Acts 1:26). The goal of growth is unity with Jesus.
(1 Corinthians 11:1) "Be imitators of me, just as I am imitators of Christ." (Ephesians 4:13) "And we shall all become one in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, until we become a perfect man, to the fulness of the stature of the stature of Christ."
Ⅵ. What are the elements of faith growth?
Animals need to eat food to grow, and trees need to be given compost and manure to grow. But people are different. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). People are different in nature. made in the image of God. Humans are different from animals. We must live by the Word and Spirit of God. Only then will it become victory, happiness, and blessing.
1. external
① Full of the Word ② Doing well in church life (Ephesians 1:23) ③ Service and loyalty
The relationship between the Lord and the saints is the same as that of a husband and wife. Faith grows only when we learn to love and care for the church more than our family.
(Ephesians 5:22-23) “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord, for the husband is the head of his wife, just as Christ is the head of the church; he himself is the Savior of the body.
2. Authentic
① Filling with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18)
② Life of personal sanctification
③ The heart of Jesus (Philippians 2:5)
But speaking the truth in love, grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:5).
1. Church life
① Holy water on Sunday ② Participation in worship ③ Life of offering ④ Bible reading ⑤ Evangelism life
2. The sanctified life
① Humility (Proverbs 18:12) ② Forgiveness (Matthew 18:21) ③ Love (John 1:29)
④ Serving (Mark 10:45) ⑤ Giving (Acts 20:35) ⑥ Prayer Life
Those who have grown in faith are said to be armed saints (Ephesians 6:10-11) "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his strength, and put on the full armor of God so that you may be able to resist the wiles of the devil. ."
Ⅴ. What do truly mature saints do?
┙ Lord, use me as an instrument of peace┙ I am used as an instrument for you. Those who are used as sacrifices (Ephesians 5:1-3) ① Those who live for the Lord ② Those who live for their neighbors ③ Those who live for the church and the saints ④ Those who live for the country and the nation. A person who has changed from a life for me to a life for 他. They live as missionaries, pilgrims, and martyrs just as the Lord did for their children, husbands, wives, parents, and brothers. I will also live the life of a saint. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and wisdom” (John 1:14). Living with devotion is a person who knows and lives as an honor in itself. He is a person who does not just look for difficulties, but rather finds difficult things, difficult things, and hardships.
Great blessings come to those who have matured in faith.
(Mark 10:29-30) "Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, he who has left houses or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for me and for the sake of the gospel, is soon, and soon, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children. There is no one who will not receive a hundred times as much money and lands, with persecution, and eternal life in the age to come."
And if there are many people who have matured in faith, the power of the devil will fall and this land will become a garden of Eden of holy blessings and peace."
(Genesis 18:32) "Abraham said, "Do not be angry, Lord, but I will say this one more time. What will you do if you find ten there?" And he said, "I will not destroy because of ten."
Let's grow up. The fruit of righteousness, joy, thanksgiving, and joy will be full. A life in which the Lord is the master, a life led by the Holy Spirit. So, I hope that you and the world have no place to go and you can only see the cross of the Lord who redeemed you.
(Rev 21:23) "The city has no need of the sun or the moon, for the glory of God shines on it, and the Lamb is its lamp."
(Rev 21:6-7) "And he said to me, It is done; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last. I will give freely to him that thirsteth from the spring of the water of life, and he who overcomes will inherit it. I will be his God, and he will be my son. This will be it."
