Title: Guard your heart/Proverbs 4:20-27

Guard your heart/Proverbs 4:20-27

Key Verse: “Guard your heart above all else. It is the fountain of life” (Proverbs 4:23).

Word: What is the most important thing in a person? Some would say it's an honor. The difference between humans and beasts is that they have moral morals, and this is where the power to know what is shameful and what is good comes from. Honor is like a crown given to you when you live like a human being.

After all, we can say that life is important. That's right. Life is so precious. So, in the event of an accident, the most important thing to take care of is human life.

Money is also very important. Wealth is essential to living in the flesh. Money is a tool that can do a lot of things if you earn it diligently, manage it wisely, and spend it wisely.

But what is the most important thing in a person's life, that fundamentally affects everything, whether it is money, life, or fame, so what should be kept before everything? Proverbs 4:23 teaches that it is the heart. The mind is not a physical organ in a person like the heart or stomach, so it cannot be seen or confirmed with the naked eye. But the mind controls everything a person thinks, says, and does. It can be said to be the headquarters of life. When we are in a really difficult situation, we say, “My heart hurts.” To fully trust and trust the other person is said to “give the heart”. A 180-degree change in attitude is called “changed mind.” The mind is the deepest part of our lives and affects everything else. So, if you want to know what kind of person you are, you need to know what your heart is like.

If you keep your heart and keep it beautiful, you can live a happy life. You can live a rewarding life while achieving your goals in life. However, there are things that make people tired and sick. Anxiety and worry. Also called stress. You need to know how to defend your heart against these attacks. Listen to Philippians 4:6-7. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known to God. Then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ.” Prayer is the answer. If you believe in God and leave it to Him, you will find peace and happiness in your heart.

Prayer: May our hearts be filled with Your love and peace. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
