Title: Habits of the High and High Zen (至高至善)
Text: Isaiah 43:18-21, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
“There is only one difference between a person who fails and a person who succeeds. That is the difference in habits.’ It is a word that is too simplistic, and yet it is impossible to argue against it. The words of the Russian writer Tolstoy come to mind. ‘Be careful with your thoughts/You become the seed of words. Be careful with your words/You become the seed of your actions. Be careful of your actions/You become the seed of your habit. Beware of your habits/they are the seeds of fate.’ It gives the impression that almost every aspect of human life is at risk. Because thoughts - words - actions - habits - fate are in one line. These are the words of God given to the prophet Isaiah at the end of the 70 years of the Israelites' captivity in Babylon. “Remember the former things, and do not consider the former things” (Isaiah 43:18).
The thoughts we have on a daily basis not only have important meaning in our lives, but also have important meanings in the history of God. It is said that life's luck and happiness are related to our thoughts. He says that the Babylonian captivity of the chosen people is the result of their thoughts (Jeremiah 6:19). Even though the period of captivity is over and he is in charge of their return, He tells them to change their thinking (Isaiah 43:18-21). The same meaning is used in the invitation of all people for the coming of the Messiah (Isaiah 55:7-9). From thoughts to words, actions, and habits, they have important meanings. This is the story of how I came to think of ‘the habit of the highest and highest virtue’. If habits depend on the happiness of life on earth, it is because I want to have the habit of being the highest and highest. The best habits for the best life. It is a condition for the best life you can enjoy.
There is a custom related to the Lord who came to this earth in flesh and lived. It was taken with the cross, the highest peak of earthly work, in front of them. It's the last night on earth. This is the action taken by the Lord after he finished strengthening Darakbang with his disciples. “Jesus went out and went to the Mount of Olives according to his custom, and his disciples followed him” (Luke 22:39). You seem to have climbed the Mount of Olives when you have important things to do. It must have been to pray. That prayer has always been “as the Father wills” (Luke 22:42). “As the Father wills” covers the entire earthly life of Jesus. This is because He healed the sick on the Sabbath, even though he knew the Jewish tradition (John 51-9). He said that it was also a work that the Father was doing (John 5:17). According to the will of our Heavenly Father, we are saying that we have worked together in what the Father is doing.
