Sermons for Preaching

Title: Hallelujah, Amen (1)

Contents

Text: 2 Corinthians 1:16-20

When you go to church to live a Christian life, the most unfamiliar word is “Hallelujah! Amen!”. It is a word that is used more frequently, especially in revival meetings. It is a natural word for those who have received grace, but to those who are meeting for the first time, we would like to share the grace of this time about “Hallelujah, Amen”, which is strange, curious, unfamiliar, shy to follow, and humble to be quiet.

‘Hallelujah’ was used when the saints who praised God, in other words, greeted ‘glorify the Lord’. This word is Hebrew, the language used in Old Testament times.

“Amen” is a Greek word that means “truly,” “trust,” “that is right,” “agree,” and “obey,” a language used in the New Testament era. When we sing, pray, and listen to the Word, I pray that you will realize the deep meaning of Amen and raise your faith to the next level.

1) “Amen” means “truly”, and when Jesus makes important words, “I tell you the truth” (Matthew 5:18; 26; 6:2,5,16,10:51,23,42) …) you did.

The truth is Hel) λ φεια, and in the Old Testament (Heb) the noun is Met, and the adverb is ‘Amen’. Therefore, when we say the God of truth (Isaiah 65:16), we mean the true God. The word closest to the truth is the truth, but the truth is ‘Amen’. When we say that God is 'the true God', the truth (amen) is that there are no lies, but not saying Amen when listening to the sermon is the same as saying, 'That is pure nonsense!' When you preach, saying ‘Amen’ or ‘Amen, Amen’ gives strength to the sermon, participates in it, and accepts it with faith. When you lead a revival meeting, you can see that a church with grace has a good atmosphere from the beginning, overflows with Amen, and receives grace from the first day. Everyone, say your Amen hard. This is the sign of the spiritual level of the church.

2) ‘Amen’ means trust. In a word, ‘I believe’, that is, I will entrust 100% of my everything to the Lord with absolute trust in God.

Real faith is total surrender. It's not about entrusting some things and leaving some things behind, and then leaving it and returning it. It is heard through the case of the famous Yan Yein that a person faced great difficulties while asking God to return an offering. 1 Samuel 2:6-7 says, “The Lord kills and gives life, and brings down into the grave, and raises up. So we must have the faith to trust and entrust this Almighty God. This is the faith of Amen. Psalm 37:5-6 says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him, and he will do it, and he will make your righteousness and your justice as the noonday light.” Trust in trust is important. In other words, “Amen” means “Lord, I depend only on you.”

Dear members of Shepherd Church,

Those who depend on people, who depend on wealth, and who depend on their own health cannot say Amen. But those who have the faith of Amen who rely solely on God will cry out “Amen, Amen. I pray that your life will be upgraded to one level with the faith of Amen. Hallelujah! Amen Amen!!
