Title: Happiness of the poor / Matthew 5:3

word for content

I pray that God's grace will be filled with me and all the members who come to the Ark Church today to worship.

I pray that you will be happier because of the evangelism we offer today.

What is happiness in the word 'blessing' last week?

Where does happiness come from?

Our God is a blessed God, and our happiness comes from God.

When we give to God, there is happiness when we worship, and there is happiness when we give our hearts, time and materials.

Who is a happy person?

Who is a happy person or not?

poor in spirit

Here, the words we should be careful about are 'spirit' and 'poverty'.

The word “spirit” is the word pneu-ma, which is translated as spirit, spirit, mind, and spirit.

The word poverty is used to indicate that you are extremely poor.

Who is happy? The Lord is that those who are thoroughly poor in spirit and heart are happy.

Who is poor in spirit and in spirit?

In order to understand the saying that the poor in heart are happy, we must first understand what is not a poor heart.

What kind of heart is not a poor heart?

1. It does not mean material poverty.

If it had been said, 'Blessed are the poor in material,' many people would have been happy, but the Lord spoke the heart.

There are people who are poor but not poor in heart.

At that time, Jews were under Roman rule, so most of them lived in poverty. But their hearts were full of strong pride.

The Jews were the people who lived with the pride of being the descendants of Abraham and the chosen children of God.

A heart filled with pride, hypocrisy, and face is not a poor heart.

There are people who have a lot of material but are poor in heart.

Jesus is talking about poverty of heart.

2. It does not refer to a person with a weak wick.

I'm not talking about someone who follows other people's opinions.

I do not speak of a person who cannot make decisions decisively and is indecisive.

I'm not talking about introverts and weak people.

I do not speak of a heart like a flowing reed. This kind of heart is a weak heart, not a poor heart.

The weak minded should not be confused with the poor minded.

Then, what kind of heart is the poor heart that the Lord is talking about?

1. It is an empty heart.

Even if there is a lot of material, the material is not contained in the vessel of the mind and is an empty mind.

If material things control a person's heart, his heart is not poor.

A person who has learned many studies and has a degree, but studies do not fill the person's heart.

If science is in control of a person's mind and a degree is in that person's heart, then that person's heart is wealthy with study and degree.

If you are filled with honor, status, position, face, and yourself, you are not poor.

A heart that is completely empty is a heart that is poor.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2:6 Although he is in the form of God in the beginning, equality with God is to be attained.

you don't consider it

Philippians 2:7 On the contrary, he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

Philippians 2:8 When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself and

obedient, that is, death on the cross

2. A poor heart is a humble heart.

Humility is being obedient to God's will or judgment.

A heart that accepts God's evaluation of us as it is is a humble heart and a poor heart.

A heart that humbly accepts the reflection of oneself in front of the mirror of the Word is a poor heart.

A heart that accepts God's evaluation of us as it is is a humble heart and a poor heart.

A person with a poor heart has no sense of superiority compared to others.

I am not satisfied with the relative evaluation.

Luke 18:9 And this to those who believe in themselves righteous and despise others.

speak in parables

Luke 18:10 Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a publican.

Luke 18:11 And the Pharisee stood and prayed by himself, saying, O God, I am not in other people: extortion, unrighteousness,

I thank you that you are not like adulterers, and not like this publican.

Luke 18:12 I fast twice a week, and I give tithes of my income.

Luke 18:13 The tax collector did not stand at a distance and did not dare lift up his eyes to look up to heaven;

He said, "God, have mercy on me, for I am a sinner."

Luke 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified than the other.

Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

The tax collector had a poor heart and a humble heart, but the Pharisee had a sense of superiority over the publicans in his heart, fasting twice in seven days, and giving tithes of his income.

He did not see himself as an evaluation given by God, but was arrogant because of the wrong evaluation he had made.

You must be able to see yourself in the mirror of the Lord and accept it humbly.

Those who repent after seeing their appearance before God are humble and poor in spirit.

A heart that obeys God's call is a poor heart.

A heart that accepts God's word as Amen is a poor heart.

A heart that humbly accepts God's grace of redemption is a poor heart.

closing words

In the Bible, there are poor people.

* Nicodemus (John 3:1- ) He had the status, status, and wealth as a Jewish ruler, but his heart was humble and poor. He had a heart so poor that he came to the unknown Jesus of Nazareth and confessed his troubles.

* Centurion - When his servant fell ill and died, his heart was empty enough to ask Jesus to heal him, and he was poor., He couldn't afford to come to our house.

* Joseph of Arimathea - a man poor enough to accept Jesus' body in his new tomb

* Acts 10, Centurion Cornello - Fear of God, almsgiving, service, a man of mimeum, always had a poor heart to pray. - A man poor enough to see a vision and ask Peter to listen

Why are poor people happy? Because heaven is theirs.

The kingdom of God is where the poor in spirit enter.

Because only the poor in heart can realize that they are sinners and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

What kind of place is the kingdom of God, heaven?

The meaning of heaven and kingdom is to rule and rule.

Heaven is the place where God's rule is. Wherever God's reign is established, it is heaven.

Where is Heaven?

'It is in you.' There is also a heaven where God exists and has advanced faith.

If our heart is under the control of the devil, it is hell. However, if our heart is under the rule of God, heaven will be established in our heart.

Happy. You are poor in spirit./ He is a man governed by God.
