Title: Happy Israel
Who doesn't like happiness? But if you hold on to anyone and ask, you will find that there are far more people who feel happy about themselves. The Bible declares that Israel is ‘happy’ by doing it. This is also a declaration to the saints.
1. The definition of happiness.
What is happiness? Why was Israel declared happy? They have not yet conquered the land of Canaan, and from a worldly point of view, they were just a crowd tired of living in the wilderness for 40 years. How can they say that they are happy? It was because happiness was in God, not in worldly status and material abundance. In other words, it could be said that Israel was happy because they were saved by the Lord.
2. The happiness of the saints. The reason we can now be called happy people is not because we have received many riches from God. Even if the saints' savings accounts are empty and they live in a difficult room in a single room, they can only rejoice and rejoice in God (Hab 3:17,18). The one fact that He chose us in Jesus before the foundation of the world and that we may be saved through the merits of the precious blood of Jesus Christ alone can give us infinite happiness. This is the reason why the life of the saints should be filled with joy and emotion every day. Are we really happy? Can you brag about yourself being happy? If any of us feel unhappy, we must realize that it is because we are still caught up in the worldly and materialistic view of life.
