Sermons for Preaching

Title: Happy People of Jesus

Contents

1. Those who live with Jesus Christ (Jesus alone)

I died through the law to the law, that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. We live by faith in the Son of God who gave up his body (Galatians 2:19-20).

2. Those who live by faith (faith)

Test yourselves and prove yourselves, whether ye are in the faith, do ye not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you, otherwise ye have rejected (2 Corinthians 13:5).

3. People who boast only of the cross (Cross)

But I have nothing to boast about except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world was crucified to me, and I to the world (Galatians 6:14) - Testimony (Jesus Cross)

4. The one who most exalts the knowledge of Jesus (renunciation)

But whatever was useful to me, I count it all as loss for Christ's sake, and I count all things as loss because of the noblest knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord; for for his sake I lost everything and counted waste, gained Christ. Philippians 3:7-8)

Before Schweitzer left for Africa, three of the most important things in his life were:

Said to have given up First, he gave up on Bach's music he was passionate about, second, he gave up a prestigious university job, and third, he gave up his rich and comfortable life. Schweitzer gave up on Bach's music, which he was so passionate about, but the Bach Association held a large-scale concert in Africa in which all members participated, and it is said that he presented a large organ. He also gave up his teaching position, which was followed by respect and honor, but God allowed him to give lectures for the rest of his life in just one year. It is said that he wanted to listen to his lectures by inviting him back to Korea on a sabbatical year. And although he gave up his rich and comfortable life, many books, including his autobiography, became bestsellers, and he was able to confirm the value of his chosen life, so he was able to have full joy in his heart.

5. Those who live only for the glory of God (glory)

8. A person who does God's work whether he is awake or asleep (office)
