Title: Harmony for Victory Text: Exodus 17:8-16
1. We need the prayers of leaders like Moses.
(Ex 17:11) We can think of Moses as a very great and special person, something different from us. But Moses is like us. The difference was that he was always a man with God. It's a simple difference, but it makes a huge difference. Moses is a weak man. Verse 12 says that Moses raised his hands in prayer, and his hands were tired and came down. He is so weak that he cannot hold his hand for long. Moses is a man of many faults. He even killed an Egyptian. He is a bloody person. But how could such a weak person be used with such power? It is because we were holding the staff of God, which we cannot hold. This staff symbolizes the presence of God. Because God was with him, Moses was able to do great things. Moses was a man of power with God. God's power is like a bomb. This power is with us with great power. Destroying that bomb is the very power of praying to God through the tool of prayer.
2. We need the prayers of partners like Aaron and Hur.
(Ex 17:12) We need prayers like Aaron and Hur if we are to live victorious lives. They are prayer partners. These are the people who are moved by the spirit of seeing others praying. Everyone! Aaron and Hur saw a weary leader praying. And I saw a tired arm raised to pray. They were deeply moved in their hearts. When I saw Moses praying for the people, I was moved to help and pray together. Then they held Moses' hands together and raised their hands and prayed. What do we look like today? There is no feeling when other people pray. Even though they are praying for themselves, there are many believers who cannot pray because they do not have any feelings for themselves. We can only win when we get rid of this laziness.
3. Like Joshua, we need a faithful person who risked his life.
(Ex 17:13) Prayer is more than just raising hands and crying out. It is necessary for those who are convinced of the content of that prayer and go out to carry it out, with deeds of faithfulness. Joshua was a loyal and dedicated worker who did not care about his own life. In particular, Joshua is a wise man who knows how to choose the right person for victory. Also, Joshua was a man who thoroughly obeyed the commands of the leader. Joshua is a man of tireless physical strength, courage, and spiritual power. This is a war fought until the sun goes down.
