Title: Harvest Workers/Luke 10:1-8
I researched what evangelism is. When you try to evangelize, it is called evangelism because “everyone runs away.” However, evangelism gives a spiritual challenge to those who receive it, and I receive the challenge of faith. The challenge is to catch all those who run away. I hope that everyone will be challenged and evangelize today.
Farming is also difficult. But you will reap the fruits of your hard work. So is the spiritual harvest. “He that sows in tears shall reap with joy” (Psalm 126:5). Jesus describes the evangelist as a harvester through the text.
Who is the harvest worker?
1. It is the ambassador of the kingdom of heaven.
An ambassador is a person who speaks and acts on behalf of his or her country. On behalf of the President, it is responsible for delivering messages to other countries. We are ambassadors on behalf of God, the President of the entire universe. If I lose courage and do not deliver the message of Heaven, it will cause great damage to Heaven.
Jesus sent on behalf of the 70. These are ambassadors sent by Jesus. There were 12 disciples of Jesus, and it can be said that the total number of believers other than that is 70 disciples. Although there were more later, it can be said that the current number of disciples is 70 except for the 12 disciples. The 70 are all Christians except for the 12 disciples. Jesus used to send out 12 disciples to evangelize, but now he is sending out 70 disciples for evangelism.
. They are sent to each place you want to go personally. It is going on behalf of Jesus. Where should I go?--- The town where I live, work, home, school, etc. are all places where Jesus Himself wants to go.
. He sends them two by two--Evangelism is not something that you do hard alone. When we work together, we can do more without hard work. Evangelism is hoped for through cooperation and partnership. Therefore, when evangelism is done in the area where evangelism should take place, it can lead many people to God.
. He is sent ahead.---Jesus' advance squad-- The people I go to are people who need to meet Jesus.
It's about finding workers for the harvest.--When you dig sweet potatoes, if you pull the stem, some of them come out with thick sweet potatoes. This is the harvest worker. A harvester is a person who does not end with believing in Jesus alone, but has family and friends follow him one after another.
2. Sleeping in the Field
. There is much to harvest. “Behold, it has become white for the harvest,” said the Lord. Harvest the ripe grains first. We have been working hard to lead them to God while we have chosen and prayed for the new born children. The time has come to open that person's heart and seek God. The grain is ripe. There are a lot of ready people around us.
In Korea, world-class athletes Carl Lewis and Ben Johnson took the subway. There was an empty seat in the far corner. The two of them decided that the person who arrived first would sit there and ran towards the empty seat to die for. Who would have been sitting there? Answer - A Korean woman. Among them, the person who throws the bag first. If you just let us know that there is an empty seat in our church, wouldn't they run out and sit down?
. fewer workers There are many people, but no workers. When there are no workers, you also need the hands of a small child. All of us saints should participate in the harvest work. You must be a harvester. On Thanksgiving, God is telling us to harvest our souls.
.Pray. We alone are not enough. Those who have the gift of evangelism in our church should work harder.
. You have to run to the field. “Go” is the Lord’s command. If there are those who have made relationships and served, now is the time to reap like ripe grain. However, if you do not have a relationship with anyone, even if you meet someone on the street, please bring them to the big feast for neighbors on the 24th. Jesus commands us to go. He tells you to go find ripe grain. My friend is the object of my harvest. The people I often meet are also the harvest of my field.
3. The power of the reaper
. replace Jesus. What you did for me, you did for Jesus. The Lord promised that if you treat an evangelist even a cup of cold water, the Lord will surely reward you.
. bearer of blessings. When I pray for peace, it comes to him, and when I reject it, it comes back to me.j
. You have the power to heal. I give you the power to heal the sick in the name of Jesus.
The three brothers were looking at the calendar, and the youngest proudly read the Chinese characters on the calendar. “Mon-Tue, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday”
Then the second slaps the youngest on the back of the head and says: “You idiot, that’s steaming and gold. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,” says the first, holding the second one this time. “You idiot, that’s Toya, not Saga. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday”
My father, looking at this scene, clicks his tongue and says: “Is your Chinese skills like that? Go now and get some royal pieces.”
Even if you don't know Chinese characters, you can live. But if you don't know Jesus, you die. Do you know how much judgment and curse there will be if we do not share the Jesus we believe in? Jesus came into this world to prevent this from happening. When we too become evangelists, we gain face as disciples of Jesus.
The famous composer and pianist Ignasi Zen Paderevsky gave a grand performance. But while a mother, who had brought her nine-year-old son who was learning the piano among the audience, sold her eyes, the child sneaked up to the concert stage, sat in front of the concert grand piano, and started playing the chopsticks march with her small hands. People get annoyed and say, “Get that kid away!” “Who brought the child to this place?” “Where is the child’s mother?” “Someone stop that kid!” At this time, the master piano hurried out and approached the child. Without saying a word, I stood behind the child and started adding nice accompaniment to the melody of the boy's chopstick march. As they played together, Paderevsky kept whispering into the boy's ear. "Keep on, don't stop, keep playing...don't stop...don't give up"
We are diligent in doing what is important to us. Then there comes a time when you want to give up. Then the Lord comes near and whispers to us. “Go on, don't give up... don't stop. Go on,” he says and presses the necessary key at the most necessary moment. He puts in improvisational accompaniment for us.
Everyone, do not give up while evangelizing. Don't stop. Continue. God is helping.
