Title: Have 12 or more children
“Therefore, let no one judge you by eating or drinking, or by feasts or new moons or sabbaths, for these are shadows of things to come, but the body belongs to Christ” (Colossians 2:16,17)
have 12 children
Last week was Chuseok in Korea. The annual homecoming war was no exception this year. In addition to that, typhoon Maemi caused more than 100 disappearances or deaths, and millions of households suffered a great commotion with power outages. Whenever something big happens in Korea, as a Korean living in the US, I get caught up in a complicated mind. Feelings of pity for the country and compatriots who are going through hard times, and the relief of living in a comfortable environment in the United States intersect half and half.
However, even though Korea is going through such a big uproar, there is one thing that we envy and regret when the holidays come. Perhaps the worst part of life in America. Even if they are tied up on the highway for eleven hours, there is no home to go to make songpyeon with their siblings and visit their parents to visit their parents.
This is the reason why I advise them to have as many children as possible once they meet a young couple who are determined to settle in the United States. The first generation of immigrants is responsible for setting up a new family of faith here. Like Jacob, who founded the nation of Israel as the father of the twelve tribes, at least 12 (?) must be born. The second generation of immigrants should build a home to visit on holidays and pass down many brothers and sisters who will make songpyeon together. Also, for families with a small family, members of the church should act as parents, brothers, and relatives instead.
In the text, the apostle Paul told us not to get too caught up in the feasts. must not be misunderstood. It is a good custom that Christians should also participate in and preserve in remembrance of their ancestors on Chuseok, family and relatives gathering after a long time to say hello to each other and live in harmony. The Israelites also celebrated not only the sin offering, but also the peace offering. However, just because a believer could not spend the holiday like a holiday doesn't mean that he has to worry too much about it.
This text is a warning against the false teachers who entered the early church. They taught that man's salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone is not sufficient, but that the feasts and circumcision specified in the Old Testament law must be observed. Paul argues that those feasts are only a type of Jesus Christ, and that salvation is completed through the gospel that the Lord accomplished on the cross. Therefore, the feast is compared to a shadow and Christ to the body (subject of the shadow, who creates the shadow). There was a special circumstance at the time that led to the saying not to worry too much about the seasons, but the application is equally applicable to the life of the believer today.
give your date of birth
There is actually a bigger problem. After 2 Thessalonians 2:3, it is said that in the last days, apostasy occurs first in the church. It is said that the man of lawlessness, the one who opposes God, sits in the temple of God and follows the works of Satan to come upon those who are perishing with powers and signs, false miracles, and all deceptions of unrighteousness.
This land has gone so far. It is wrong to say that the end of the earth is near when sin is rampant and natural disasters are frequent. Of course, it's gotten worse lately, but it's always happened. The earth is not destroyed so easily. The earth itself has the mysterious ability to survive on its own, which God has given to us. I thought that Brazil's primeval forest had been devastated by indiscriminate logging, but now there are reports that the forest has expanded. Global warming has made plants grow better. Isn't it strange? Humans have polluted the earth with pollution, but the earth has more bushes and produces more fresh oxygen to purify the polluted atmosphere...
In this way, there is no end to God's mercy and mercy. From the beginning to eternity, from the beginning of time, he perfectly provided for human beings to eat and drink. He just gave it all. By dying on the cross, Jesus unconditionally forgave the sins of mankind. This too was freely given by God first.
However, we must not forget that there is only one reason why God cannot endure His wrath and judges the earth. Those who believe in God and call on the noble name of Jesus Christ are apostates. He never tolerates Satan entering the church and setting it up. Those who attract or follow these people are already recorded in the Bible as those who perish (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
It's no coincidence that I've suddenly heard a lot of these stories around me lately. He tells us to be awake, pray, be vigilant, and have the wisdom to discern spirits. You must not pass by as if nothing. We must accurately judge the evil that this generation is passing through. We must not imitate that sinful trend, but instead offer our bodies as a living, holy sacrifice.
Occasionally, no matter how much a believer, it is said that it is not good to be careful about fortunes, fortunes, numbers, signs, etc. so that nothing bad happens. You should never fall for those words. Then, it has the result of acknowledging Satan and increasing the power of evil. Believers must become the last remaining ones on this earth and play the role of light and salt.
What did Jesus mean when he said that it was finished on the cross? Doesn't this mean that he broke all Satan's schemes with the power of the iron rod? Satan only bruised Christ's heel, but Jesus, who was born of a woman, who was born of a virgin, bruised his head (Genesis 3:15). All authority in heaven and on earth is shared with the believer. Even if you call on the name of Jesus, Satan comes in one way and runs away in seven ways.
However, if the believer is still influenced and swayed by date, fortune, symbol, etc., it is the complete opposite. “When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it goes through waterless places, seeking rest, but cannot find it. Then he said, “I will return to my house from which I came.” When he came, the house was empty, slaughtered, and repaired. And he goes in and dwells there, and the man's last condition is worse than before; and so shall it be with this evil generation” (Matthew 12:43-45).
give up your children
A believer is one who has already secured heaven and eternal life. God the Creator of heaven and earth, the Lord of all things in the universe, He is always with me and never leaves me. He loves me so much that he did not spare his only son for us and even killed him. Because God is for us, nothing can be against us (Romans 8:31).
Even so, the believers do not seem to realize how great the authority is to believe in Jesus. When a believer walks on the street, meets someone, or does something, Jesus is always with him. no you go first There is absolutely nothing a believer can do alone. “Apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) What did Jesus say to Paul who was on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians from the light of heaven? “Saul (old name of Paul), Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He didn't say, "Do you persecute those who believe in Jesus?" He identified the believer with himself. Because he is always with them, when believers are persecuted, Jesus is also persecuted.
If Jesus is not with the believer, how can a demon-possessing shaman know before he even says that he believes in Jesus? When Jesus came to this earth, the first person to recognize that He was the Savior was also possessed by a demon. “At the same time there was a man in their synagogue possessed with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, “What have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” (Mark 1) :23,24)
God never stops his wrath against Satan. Believers don't just let apostasy happen. It means that believers who care about Satan's false deceptions will not forgive. Gentiles mobilize gods to satisfy their greed. Believers must be different. One's soul must seek God in order to find peace and rest in the Lord and to accomplish His holy will. God, you must live a life where only you are the goal. A believer who does not put God first in life, does not hope for God alone, and thinks only of helping God in his work as if he is an idol worshiper, should be afraid of receiving God's punishment rather than receiving blessings.
To believe in Jesus well does not mean to memorize prayers and the Bible well. Of course, if possible, all believers should be completely absent from the Word and prayer. However, if he smiles and cries like other people in the world about flying, numbers, symbols, and luck, it is proof that he is not a believer, but merely a religious person, and that even Jesus considers him a spiritual guru. A believer must be free from the things the world cares about, fears, deceives, pursues, and considers important. Only those who do not fall for Satan's deceitful deceptions are those who have good faith.
Seasons and eating and drinking are all shadows. The world's customs, fashions, customs, and currents are really nothing. It never has the slightest influence on the life and destiny of a believer. It has been a long time since the eternal status, belonging, position, and destiny of believers have been changed into children of light, holiness, and life. The only true hope for the believer to laugh and cry should be this future.
To give you my personal story, purely for your understanding, I have crossed the brink of death several times. There have been several times where I went to the last moment where I fell into the abyss of death with just one more step, not just an emergency. Of course, God protected them every time. When a person passes through life and death, he transcends eating and drinking. I am not very attached to the affairs and things of the world. Things that you must have and don't have will disappear.
I also have no worldly attachment to my two sons. Because it's not my child. Because I am a child of God, I am confident that God will take care of me. The only thing I hope and pray to them is that they may hold on to their faith in Jesus Christ to the end and be only in the grace of heaven that He gives them. Look at the way this world is going. They will undoubtedly be constantly disturbed by evil forces and worldly tribulation more severe than they are now. Praying that there will be no tribulation for our children and that all things will be prosperous is futile effort. If they themselves do not miss Jesus, they will have victory in the midst of tribulation. If Jesus does not accompany them, they will only fail.
Are there perhaps any shadows in your present life? Are there things that are distracting you from the winds of the world? Why are you anxious, anxious, and concerned about strange things when Jesus is with you? The worse the times, the more we should look to Jesus, our Savior, our comfort and strength.
It is a precious and beautiful thing to commemorate our ancestors on holidays such as Chuseok. But before that, you should first thank God for having such wonderful parents. The Israelites' peace offerings were not just for family members to eat and drink. After making a sacrifice before God, they shared the sacrifice. There is no victory in life unless you, God, become the joy of our lives.
During Chuseok next year, we will all feel lonely and empty in a corner again. However, as long as we do not lose our hearts during the feasts of the world and look to the Lord first, we can spend truly abundant Chuseok here in the United States. Although we have long lost our home on this earth to return to, we are convinced that our eternal home in heaven awaits us. Do not hold on to the shadows. Instead, hope for the future.
