Title: Have the Right Faith
Isaiah (148) Have Right Faith
(Isaiah 60:1-3)
<Have the right faith>
The text challenges “Arise, shine!” Hearing these words makes me feel good and I really want to get up and shine. How do you get up and shine? It is not something that happens to live in a state of mind without any change. In simple terms, “Get up!” here means “Live upright like a believer!” If your faith is right, your attitude and language will be right, your thinking will be right, and your life will be right.
The times are quite dark right now. The person who needs the most in this age is the person with the right faith. Sometimes, I see people who say they believe, but do not have the right human image required by faith. Then you cannot become a truly blessed being. 'The right thing' is the real success rather than the 'big thing'. Also, there is happiness in the inside rather than the outward, and there is happiness in the essential rather than the non-essential.
Many saints find happiness in external things, great things, and non-essential things. So, “how big is the church? Is it your own building? Do you have a large number of church members? Do you have your own prayer center? Are there many tall people?” and judges. Such a heart is not a ‘heart that pleases the Lord’. Try to ‘become a person’ before ‘getting something’ in life. When you pray, ask for great things assuming the right things.
One day, a husband prayed aloud. "Five! God! Please fill it out!” At that time, the woman next to me prayed like this. “Oh God! Take it!” It was so strange that a colleague asked the woman why she prayed like that. Then the wife said that she prayed that way because only she knew about it, even if her husband was satisfied. If you are a selfish person who only thinks about yourself, it is better not to have it.
< Pray rightly >
When we pray, ‘what to ask for’ is the third priority. The first priority of prayer is ‘to know God’s will’, and the second priority of prayer is ‘to better obey God’s will’. How pleased God would be if we prayed such a prayer before solving the problem? Why do you ask for great blessings? To have a good influence, to nurture good people, and to do many things for God. When we pray with such a right purpose, that prayer becomes powerful prayer.
A woman came out on the radio the other day and said, She had never heard destructive language from her parents. So she did her best not to go to work because she was hurt by her husband. When the host asked, “Why did you do that?” she said, thinking, “It would be better for me to rot inside myself!” because she was afraid that if her husband went out because of her, it would have a bad effect on others. what a big idea The ability to live up to the mood of an ugly husband is also the power of faith.
The same goes for husbands. Some husbands come home and shout at their housekeepers because they have done something great outside, treating their housekeepers like servants and saying hurtful things. But are these fortress kids just big? If the outside work is difficult, housekeeping is also a difficult job, and if the outside work is a 'big job', the housework is a 'big job'. You need a mature attitude that doesn't think that you're the only one doing big things. If you follow the right path with the right faith and attitude, you will receive blessings and there will be no side effects after the blessing.
Whatever you do, stick to your principles and try to be honest. God gives grace to those who are pure and honest. Why do you come to church? It is to become a ‘good person’ before getting ‘good things’. If you try to get ‘good things’ without becoming a ‘good person’, you will not be able to achieve your will, and complaints, resentment, and skepticism will arise. Now, show us your saintly life and values. After all, the most important prayer topic of the saints is this prayer topic. "God! Help me to become a healthy, honest and upright saint who knows the meaning of sharing and devotion!”
