Title: Have you not sinned? (2 Chronicles 28:10)
As a result of King Ahaz's corrupt crime, when the Arctic Israel captured 200,000 Jews, their wives and children, and plundered their wealth, Oded the prophet of God warned the Samaritans, "You Have you not sinned against the LORD your God?" Is there anyone who will boldly answer "No" when asked if you have committed any crimes?
1. There is no one who has not sinned.
After the sin of the ancestors of mankind, Adam and Eve, all their descendants cannot escape being sinned by God.
Even if we put an end to the original sin inherited from our ancestors, how can anyone in the lowly be rich who can claim that every one of them has lived an honest life without sinning against God in his own way? “There is no one righteous, no one else” (Romans 3:10). ) Jews and Greeks are all under sin.
2. Who will the criminals condemn? When the Pharisees were about to stone a woman caught in adultery, Jesus said, "He who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone." Still, people at that time must have had a somewhat alive conscience (John 8:1-11).
Now, the Israelites say that they have the position and authority to take the Jews as captives, abuse them, and even kill them, but they can't help it when they ask, "Have you not sinned against the LORD your God?" Even the chosen nation, Israel, when they sinned, they were punished with a Gentile rod of thhorns.
3. Use it as an opportunity for reflection and repentance.
There is no one who lives without sin, but even when others commit a crime and are disciplined and punished, we must look at our hearts, reflect on ourselves, and repent.
Like Jonah, I know that it is because of me that the sailors faced a great storm and suffered (Jon 1:12), so he must repent and make sure that others do not suffer because of him.
Conclusion: "Those who live by faith will receive from heaven. Whatever they encounter, they will prosper." You will have to live a blessed life because you will repent even if you are in tribulation and reflect upon seeing others suffer.
