Title: He Is a Samaritan

Contents

Bible Text: Luke 17:11-19

he is a Samaritan

“But my servant Caleb has a different spirit and has followed me completely; I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will possess it” (Numbers 14:24). I did. Different minds mean different people.

The ten people in the Bible we read today were the same. They were all identical in that they were lepers. But one person was different. Two are the same and two are different. One out of ten people who have the same two things is something that nine people don't have. “He is a Samaritan”

They prayed aloud.

As Jesus passed by, he entered a village. Ten lepers stood at a distance toward Jesus passing by and cried out, “Raise your voice and say, ‘Jesus Teacher, have mercy on us’” (verse 13). They scream for good reason. They met a golden opportunity to change their fate. “Have mercy on us” These are the people who have been driven out of town. Those who are sick and abandoned. They could not enter the village until they were cured of leprosy. They believed that Jesus would heal them. Their prayers were prayers of faith. “The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if they have committed any sins, they will be forgiven” (James 5:15).

Born to slavery in the southern United States, Condoleezza Rice served as vice-chancellor of college and secretary of state to assist President Bush. He tells the secret of being able to stand at the center of the world. Pray for the “why must it be me?” mindset and the negative thoughts of unhappiness and unfairness. Pray to develop optimistic thinking and ability to achieve.” Prayer erases the past. Prayer helps us get out of the predicament of despair and overcome difficulties. You will get up from a fall. Lepers were healed and their fates changed through prayer. I changed my destiny through the prayer of faith.

” As they went, they were cleansed.

Jesus said to the lepers who shouted, “Have mercy on us.” “When he saw it, he said, ‘Go and show yourselves to the priests.

“By faith Noah, being warned of things not yet seen, prepared the ark with reverence, by which he condemned the world, and became heir of righteousness” (Hebrews 11:7). has been If we follow Jesus and obey the Word, our way will be brighter.

A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when he met a robber. The robbers stripped their clothes and beat them to death and ran away (Luke 10:30). Jerusalem is a holy city. Jerusalem is at an elevation of 760 km above sea level and Jericho is at an elevation of 250 m below sea level. He turned his back on God and went down into the world when he met a robber.

It was when Jesus went to Cana of Galilee, where water was turned into wine. There was a king's servant where Jesus was, and his son was sick and dying. “Lord, heal my child, Lord, come down before he dies.” He almost died. “Jesus said to him, “Go, your son is alive.” The man believed what Jesus had said and went. On the way down, his servants came and met him and said that he was alive. I have lost” (John 4:46-54). It is a miracle that those who believe and go have met. The time Jesus spoke of coincided with the time of healing. Please follow the word. I wish you all the best as you go.

The Samaritan glorifies with a loud voice.

Ten people were healed, but of the nine, only one returned and gave glory to God. “When one of them saw that he was healed, he returned, glorifying God with a loud voice” (verse 15).

The book of Acts shows how terrifying it is to not give glory to God. As Herod wore his robe and sat on the altar and spoke to the people, the people said, “This is the voice of a god and not of a man.” Since Herod did not glorify God, an angel of the Lord struck him immediately, and he was eaten by worms and died.” (Acts 12) :21-23) did.

Those who stole the glory of God were eaten by worms and died. “Give glory to him, all you children of Jacob, and fear him, you children of Israel” (Psalm 22:23). The bodies of the ten who were healed of leprosy are bodies that should give glory to God. “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, but you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19). -20)

They did not glorify God with their healed bodies. But the Samaritan was different. “So that with one heart and one mouth we may glorify God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 15:6). Like the Samaritans, let us all glorify God with one heart and one mouth.

The Samaritan bowed down and gave thanks.

“He fell at his feet and gave thanks, because he was a Samaritan” (verse 16). He came to Jesus. I fell at the feet of Jesus. Lying down is a sign of total submission. It is the mark of the highest respect. Worship means to bow down and bow down. It shows respect and obedience of the heart. The three wise men fell down and bowed down to the baby Jesus.

Falling down and giving thanks is a beautiful expression of the heart of the one who has received grace. This is markedly different from the Ingratitude Nine. Nine are Jews and one is Samaritan. Jesus said. “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the nine?” (verse 17) Jesus expects those who receive grace to return and give thanks. “Be ye grateful” (Colossians 3:15). Those who have received grace have a duty to give thanks.

Good deeds come out of a grateful heart. You must have a heart of gratitude to have a sincere worship. When you have a grateful heart, you rejoice and praise.

The Lord saved us by giving up and shed blood. We should give glory to God and live in thanksgiving to Jesus. I want to live like one in ten Samaritans, not nine.
