Title: He Must Increase and I Must Decline
Content: He must increase and I must decrease (John 3:22-30).
I asked Augustine, who can be called a saint in the history of Christianity. “What is the first thing in your life of faith?” Augustine replied, "Humility." "What is the second?" "Humility," "Then what is the third?" "The third is humility." Even in the church today, there are those who constantly try to increase themselves by borrowing the name of Jesus, and there are those who, like John the Baptist, do not hesitate to decline for the glory of God to exalt Jesus. How are you? Those who decline and prosper in the country, the nation, the people, the staff, and the church are patriots, respected politicians, true entrepreneurs, and Christians. Why did our Jesus come to this earth? ‘I will die and save you. I will make you rich by being poor. I will be cursed and I will bless you. Forsaken in Hades, I will lead you to heaven. I will increase you because I am declining.’ John the Baptist was a great man of God who knew well what I had to do to come to this earth and what I had to do to go to the Lord. We bless you in the name of Jesus to live like John the Baptist and like Jesus.
