Title: He Begged to Leave the Country!
When Jesus saw it, he immediately commanded the demons, and the demons came out of the man and went into the herd of pigs. When the demons entered the herd of pigs that were looking for food, all the pigs went crazy and rushed down the road. They all drowned in the river. The pig herders, who had witnessed everything that had happened so far vividly before their eyes, ran to the village one step at a time and told the villagers that all the pigs were drowned in the river and the demon-possessed. When they saw this, they treated him like an unlucky person and immediately said to Jesus, “He asked Jesus to leave the country!” This is what human beings look like living in darkness.
Compared to those of us who believe in Jesus today, we do not see any difference. Since we know to some extent what the Bible says, we can easily reproach the people of Gadara with their mouths open as “cursed men who rejected the Lord of Heaven”, but we too have never come across this text. Che, no! Even if you are well aware of the contents of this text, because of the Lord’s coming into our house today, the demons have been acting as my masters in our house for a long time. If brought, we too look no different from them, no! Perhaps they are not the only ones with a much more ferocious face than them, saying, “Lord and Nabal, you are all in need, so get out of my house right away.”
When I listen to people who live a religious life today, I often see people who say as if they would die without Jesus. For example, when starting a new business, eating a meal, building a house, taking a test, or even playing a game, you can see that everyone starts in the name of Jesus and finishes everything in the name of Jesus. Even if you look at the church alone, it is common to see that the meeting is held after the worship service, even when each district gathers after the Sunday day service. If the name of Jesus is not given to them, they are probably uneasy. So they seem to prefer the name Jesus that way. At first glance, their beliefs seem to be really great. It's like if Jesus isn't with them for even a minute or a second, everything seems to be messed up.
But the Jesus spoken of in the Bible says that there is not a single room on this earth where people can lie on their head. Do people really like Jesus? And also, if you want to follow Jesus, you have to give up everything you have. Will people really like Jesus even when they give up everything they have? Maybe you don't know, but no one wants a Jesus like this. The mere fact that he currently believes in Jesus will make him proud, hoping that what he is doing will never go bankrupt, and he will earnestly pray that Jesus will take care of everything. If you become rich in this way, you will give a lot of thanks, pay a lot of tithing, help poor neighbors, build a chapel, and promise to serve the Lord's servant well. But, according to the Bible, did Jesus really welcome those who did this? We should never fall into our illusions and try to worship God.
