Title: Healing and the Church/(Ecclesiastes 4:10)
Content 1. The meaning of the church
From the New Testament times to the present, when the truth (gospel) of God is proclaimed to the world, it must have been accomplished through doctrine. In other words, God's will is revealed in the world through this church.
Therefore, if the church exists to accomplish God's will, only when the church and the saints imitate Christ find and practice the attitude and mission of serving each other, the church and the saints will fulfill their mission. Furthermore, the church should imitate the life of Jesus Christ, a servant in and outside the church, to play the role of hands and feet for the suffering and marginalized in this world.
1) New Nomadic Church
2) Healing as a factor in church growth
Peter Wagner speaks with certainty about the relationship between the history of healing and the spread of the gospel. I firmly believe that the power of God works strongly not only in the days of the early church but also today. Because Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I am increasingly convinced that the more we are captured by the power of the Holy Spirit, the faster the task of world evangelization is accomplished. In this way, power evangelism through the new history was a method of evangelism that Christians used very effectively in the early church.
Church growth means spiritual revival just like the early church. The gifts of the Holy Spirit have a real power to sustain and grow the church. If the church is the place where the gospel of God's salvation is proclaimed and taught, the church will naturally grow day by day, experiencing the reality of salvation while wounded souls and sick bodies are healed through the gift of healing.
3) Renewal as evangelism
The work of healing is an event that Jesus set an example for, and it is a work that must be continued even now. The important reason to pray for the sick even now is that they play the role of evangelism through the work of healing.
4) Healing as a spiritual warfare
One of the purposes of God sending Jesus to this earth was to destroy Satan's kingdom and his evil works (John 12:31; John 3:8), and to build God's Mara. Jesus' work was carried out in a constant battle with Satan and demons in order to achieve the reign of God on this earth. Therefore, the resurrection of Jesus was a decisive victory for the kingdom of God. But Satan possesses immense power to temporarily inflict physical or mental illness and spiritual bondage. It overthrows churches and leads Christians to death. Therefore, Christians must fight the power of Satan head-on, and just as Jesus did, we Christians must also win the spiritual battle by proclaiming the kingdom of God, healing the sick, and casting out demons, thereby showing the kingdom of God in reality will be.
