Title: Healing of Acceptance/Romans 15:7
Healing of acceptance/Romans 15:7
“… Therefore, receive ye one another, as Christ also received us, to the glory of God… ” (Romans 15:7).
10,000 talents is a huge amount that 8,600 men must line up for 8km. 100 denarii is enough money to fit in one pocket. It is absolutely impossible for anyone who owes 10,000 talents to be forgiven and to repay the debt by grabbing his colleague who owes him 100 denarii. The Lord forgave us the debt of our sins and accepted us.
Because the Lord has accepted us in this way, it is not natural for us who have received this grace to forgive and accept the faults of our family, friends, relatives, acquaintances, and alumni.
When we embrace one another, there is the joy of being freed from the bondage of the law. To think that I have to do my best to get that person to accept me is a law-bound attitude. It is a state of the law to worry that he will accept me only as long as I do well and that he will leave me if I do something wrong. However, if the other person accepts me as I am, and if I accept the other as I am, then each other will enjoy freedom and liberation from the bondage of the law.
If we accept each other, we don't hate each other even if we know each other inside out. Even if we know each other, we don't turn around and walk away. In an atmosphere where we know each other and accept each other, we don't have to eat out while pretending not to. You can enjoy peace in a relationship where you know and accept each other. When a trusting relationship is formed that accepts each other even if you share your worries and weaknesses, you will see each other's true selves.
Just as a student can know their true abilities through an exam, a patient can know their true health through medical treatment, just as a believer reveals their true self before God through confession of sins, If you give it, you will see your true self . That's where healing and growth begin when we encounter who we really are. If you take off the mask that hides your true self and confess your pain and weakness to each other under the cross and accept it, the blood treatment of the cross will begin.
