Title: Healthy Church 1; A Church Overcoming Conflicts
Text: Genesis 12:1-9, Acts 6:1-7
[Reconciled Family] [Reconciled Church] was my dream. It was because I hated the pain I had when I was young. This is because they thought that the image of a family-like home church is in harmony. So it seems that I hate loud sounds that are expressions of conflict as much as possible. Isn't the content of the loud sounds you hear also an incomplete prejudice? It makes me think that being quiet is not necessarily a symbol of reconciliation. It reminds me of the words of a medical professor who said, “It is better to live a life knowing that only longevity without disease is a blessing than a life knowing only a longevity without disease is a blessing.” That's why Family Ministry, which speaks about the happiness of married couples, also says, 'It is better to live a life with good fights than a life without fights'.
Other than that, there are conflicts. Conflicts appeared in all areas of individuals, families, and churches. The martyrdom of Stephen the deacon (Acts 6:8-7:60), the conversion of Saul (Acts 9:1-30), the personal conflict of the apostle Peter and the conversion of the Cornelius family (Acts 10:1-48), resulting in the church in Jerusalem Conflicts within and overcoming (Acts 11:1-18), conflicts were everywhere and always existed. With the overcoming of those conflicts, the church developed. I am thinking of the New Testament text today. Like the prayer of the old prophet Habakkuk (Habakkuk 3:2), the church grew. Trials and difficulties continued inside and outside the church, but the healthy Jerusalem church (Acts 5:40-42) was revived. It is the image of a church that rejoices in the midst of suffering and does not stop teaching and preaching that Jesus is the Christ.
