Title: Healthy Growth (Luke 02:40-2)
Contents First of all, I would like to thank God for allowing the baby God gave me as a gift to grow safely for one year, and at the same time, I would like to congratulate the parents.
There are very few places in the Bible where it is written about Jesus' childhood. However, Luke 2:40 and 52 provide only a brief summary.
These two verses tell us that Jesus grew up in a healthy way. Now, I hope that this growth process of Jesus will be reflected in this baby's growth as well.
1. Jesus' body grew.
This is the part that tells us that you have become physically strong. If you look at the text, the word “grows in stature” refers to the growth of the body. Therefore, as a parent raising a baby, we ask that you do your best for the health of your child. It is also the parents' responsibility in a sense to not raise them in a healthy way.-See Luke 2:40.
2. Jesus grew in wisdom.
You should pray for the growth of your child's wisdom. Wisdom does not mean clever tricks. A lot of knowledge doesn't mean a lot of wisdom.
Wisdom is not knowledge that ends in the head, but the knowledge of life that becomes the driving force for life. That's why James 1:5 says, "If you lack wisdom, ask God."
3. Jesus grew up to be loved by God and men.
This word expressed in the text signifies the growth of faith and ethics. It is the responsibility of raising this child to be recognized by God and even ethically accepted by men. For that to happen, the parents must have more faith.
I hope that parents will become an example in front of their children by cultivating their faith by praying more diligently to God for their children, and by imitating their parents and growing up beautifully, their wisdom will grow and they will grow into children who are loved by God and all people. I hope it will be.-Amen-
