Title: Healthy Life of Faith
Contents
Healthy religious life (Colossians 3:12~15)
1. In order to lead a healthy life of faith, we must overcome the guilt of our hearts.
There are two cases when a person hates and hates a person. One is factual hatred, and the other is hypothetical hatred. Virtual hatred is often the result of misunderstanding. There are no direct incidents or incidents, but there are times when I openly hate people because of misunderstandings. There are many cases where people misunderstand others and treat them with prejudice because of the stories they hear from their friends and the words they exchange with their neighbors.
2. What, then, must we do to overcome the charges?
Would you like to go deep into the mountains and avoid people altogether? Or do I have to fight this judge while showing everyone in my heart? The more people who cannot control this well, the more they try to solve it with their fists. And there are many cases where they abuse themselves with alcohol. Therefore, more and more people are pushed out of social life and further away from the church. If we are to overcome our charges, we must follow the Bible. What is recorded in the Bible? To keep your peace of mind, first
① We must look to the cross.
We must see ourselves by looking at Jesus Christ hanging on the cross. ‘Father! Forgive us our sins.’ We must look to the Lord who prays earnestly. When you look to the Lord of the cross, you will know yourself right away. And you get to understand each other. The Lord has forgiven my great sins, but am I unable to forgive the charges of my little brother? self-blame arises. Our Lord says: “When you pray, forgive anyone if you have any accusations. Then your Father who is in heaven will also forgive your transgressions” (Mark 11:25). Is that all? When he taught us to pray, he said to pray, “Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.” From this point of view, if there is still any resentment, hatred, or bad feelings toward others in my heart, I will have to look at the cross of the Lord who forgave me for my sins and resolve them.
② We must believe in God's providence and transcendent power.
We must believe that God can turn evil into good, even human sin. This was well illustrated in the case of Joseph. Joseph was vaguely hated by his brothers and sold to Egypt. I don't know how much suffering I suffered. But God turned them all into good and made him even the prime minister of Egypt. When there was a famine, Joseph's brothers went to Egypt to get food. At first they didn't know it was Joseph, but later they realized that they were afraid of retaliating for their old deeds. changed it for good so that the lives of all people could be saved as it is today.”
We, believers, should remember this when we are harmed and hurt by others. Rather, we must believe that God has a providence to benefit us through loss. I need to have confidence that God will return it for my benefit.
For example, let's say you failed the entrance exam. If you always keep in your mind that the person you promised to ride with you that morning broke the promise and failed the exam by entering the entrance exam room late, then you will become ill. You have to overcome it. Rather, God told me to change my mind that way because God made me go to another university.
Life should be long. What I see right now is not everything in life. Please do not just look at the reality of Joseph being sold to Egypt. Please don't just think of him being unfairly imprisoned. In the whole process, we must realize that God provided for him to become the prime minister of Egypt. That is why he said, “All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.”
③ You must know that it is an opportunity to grow up as a perfect child of God.
There is a Spanish proverb that says: “It is demonic to repay good for evil, human to repay good for good, and divine to repay evil for good.” These last words are something that only God can do. It is God's work to repay evil with good. Therefore, if you repay evil with good, that is the evidence that you are a child of God.
There is a Korean proverb that says, “Grace is engraved in water, and enemies are engraved in stone.” This is fallen humanity. That is why it is easy for anyone to harbor grudges, but it is difficult to embrace the characters of God's children. A grudge is something you can hold between yourself and those close to you. Among close neighbors, relatives, friends, relatives, even within family, father and mother, brothers, sisters, and even among the saints, there are many people who live with a hateful heart. Therefore, this resentment must be overcome. Only then can you lead a healthy life of faith. To do that, we must look to the cross. We must believe in God's providence to turn evil into good.
finish the speech.
In order to become God's children one more step, we must go to the point of repaying evil with good. God is looking at our hearts. Now, if there is any hatred or resentment in my heart, please give it all away. Only then can you lead a healthy life of faith. Then joy will be able to rule our hearts.
