Title: Healthy Spirit/Psalm 34:18
Contents Healthy Spirit / Psalm 34:18
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
In time, I would like to speak with the title of a healthy spirit. Just as an egg has a shell, a white and a yellow, man has a body, a soul, and a spirit as 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says. The soul is said to be the spirit. Of these three, the spirit like the yellow one is the most important. Because God controls us through the Spirit. Life dwells in this spirit, the Holy Spirit works in this spirit, fellowship with God in this spirit, the knowledge of God's will in this spirit, and the revelation of God through this spirit, and the holy spirit of God in this spirit. This is because the Holy Spirit has come and is present.
When our spirits are healthy and we get strength, our bodies are also healthy. If the spirit, the inner man, weakens and becomes ill, the outer man, both body and mind, will become sick. Therefore, 3 John verse 2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, as your soul prospers." Therefore, if the spirit of becoming the inner man fails, the physical body and soul that become the outer man also fail. How can our spirits be healthy?
First, when we always have a contrite spirit, our spirits can be kept healthy. Psalm 34:18 says that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and does not forsake those who are crushed in spirit but saves them. When our human spirit knows how to have a contrite heart, it rises to the top.
In Isaiah 57:15, it is said, "For thus saith the one who is supreme and eternal, who dwells forever, and whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, I dwell with the contrite and humble in heart." God is with the contrite spirit.
However, if you have sinned and yet do not consider it a sin, and you have no shame or shamelessness, then God is not with you. The Lord is with such a contrite heart, knowing that such a person who is ashamed, blushing, and ashamed even after committing a small sin will have such a contrite heart. Is there anyone who has never been contrite? Is there anyone who has never looked back on himself and repented? The spirit is either paralyzed or ill. Because we always wear the flesh, we live in sin and our flesh keeps going down the path of sin. We commit endless sins. Therefore, we know that we do not commit any sin unless we commit murder, adultery, and theft, but as it is written in Matthew 5:28, "Everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Jesus said that even if you sin, it is a sin.
Gentlemen, when we think like this, we live in so many sins. Let us repent of these sins. God doesn't want us to be fools who sin and come back to repent, sin and repent, sin and repent, and so on. Even if we have sinned, we must come to God, humbly fall on our faces, repent, and never go back to the path of iniquity. He is with those who are contrite
Second, if we want our spirits to be healthy, we must have a broken heart. In Psalm 51:17, it is said that the sacrifice that God seeks is a broken spirit. A broken spirit trembles before God. Some are members of the church, yet they do not tremble even after committing a sin before God. I can't be anxious. This arrogant and shameless spirit must be broken, crumbled, and melted before God like King David.
God is looking for a broken heart. I pray that you will become a saint who will put away the arrogance of not knowing what to fear even after committing a sin, and that your sinful spirit will crumble and melt.
Third, in order to keep our spirits in a healthy state, we must have a spirit of suffering and trembling. He said that the spirit that is pleased with is a troubled and trembling spirit.
Finally, if we want our spirit to be healthy, we must become a humble spirit. You must be a descending spirit. When our spirits rise and become proud, we fall and become food for the devil. Someone said that if our spirit is too tall, the devil sometimes shoots arrows at us, but when he shoots an arrow, if our spirit is too tall, the arrow will hit us.
Therefore, if our spirit is humble and we bow our heads, no matter how the devil is aiming an arrow to knock us down, we are not hit. There is an old saying that if a tree has many leaves and many branches, there is no wind. Ladies and gentlemen, while we live on this earth, our spirits should always have a humble attitude before God.
In Proverbs 16:19 it is said that it is better to be humble and humble with the humble than to be with the proud and to drink spoils. Proverbs 29:23 says that when a man is proud he will fall and be humbled, and his heart will be humbled. It is said that humility will bring you honor.
Isaiah 57:15 says that God dwells with the contrite and humble of heart, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite. A true humble spirit, a humble spirit, a spirit who humbles oneself entirely, not to some extent, gives grace to such a person.
Everyone ! God still wants us to have a healthy spirit. You have a contrite and broken heart, a spirit of suffering and trembling, and a humble spirit, so I earnestly pray that God's amazing guidance will be with you.
