Title: Heart of Jesus/Mark 10:13-16
Dr. Wilbert Chapman of the United States obtained statistics from a rally of 4,500 people. According to the contents, 400 accepted Jesus before the age of 10, 600 accepted Jesus between the ages of 10 and 14, another 600 accepted Jesus between the ages of 14 and 16, and 1,000 accepted Jesus between the ages of 16 and 20. They accepted it, and only 24 people had faith after the age of 36. Intrigued by this, Dr. Chapman investigated more extensively and came up with the following statistics: After the age of 25, only one in 1,000, after the age of 35, in 50,000, after the age of 45, in 200,000, after the age of 55, in 300,000, after the age of 75, only one in 700,000. that it has been accepted. However, what we need to keep in mind is that if we examine the lives of great evangelists, there are many cases where they were converted in childhood and became great ministers.
As we celebrate Children's Sunday, we can see how important it is to bring our children to Jesus, the best thing parents can do for the future of their children, grandchildren and grandchildren in our homes.
The content of today's text is what happened while Jesus looked at a large crowd and was speaking. Some of the stories we shared were about families. Regarding marriage, he was talking about the importance of marriage, saying, "God made a man and a woman, and they must leave their parents and become one flesh. No one can separate what God has joined together." It is the scene of bringing a little child of the Lord to Jesus. Looking at this scene today, I would like to share the grace with you on Children's Sunday.
1. Parent's Heart
The first is the heart of parents. What would your parents think? “I want my children to do well.” No one in the world wants their children to be wrong. Even thieves teach their children that thieves are evil.
Considering the fact that Zebedee's mother asked her two sons, James and John, to sit one on the right and one on the left when the Lord's kingdom comes, she wants her children to do well.
That's right. In the heart of a parent, there is a determination to do whatever is good for their child.
As for what this desire for well-being is manifested today, it was the desire to bring him to Jesus and touch him once. It is the heart of a parent to want Jesus to sit down on our child once and to put his hand on it even once. A few years ago, during a missionary retreat, there was a time when we took an overall picture, and at that time, Master Kwon, who everyone in Korea knows by name, came as a lecturer. But when we were taking the picture, Mr. Kwon sat down and took a picture of our children, saying they were pretty. But that is. As parents, it couldn't have been that good. For people who are good to people, it is an honor to even touch their hands. Therefore, it is natural to love children in the hearts of parents when they bring their children to Jesus and bring them to Jesus with the hope that they will hug them and touch them.
By the way, who do we mean by little children here today, are we really only talking about younger children! I don't think so. It is said that children are young, but even from a religious point of view, there are many souls in the church who are still young in faith. all those souls. These are souls who have not yet believed in Jesus and do not know anything. These are the souls we all need to take care of. These are souls who need Jesus' touch and touch. I couldn't have been so good when the instructor prayed for our members at the last revival meeting. I don't know how many times I wished that I would receive a lot of grace, I wished that the instructor would touch our members one more time, pray for them, and give them attention.
Everyone, yes. The believers who believed in Jesus first must have the heart to encourage them to attend the worship service by diligently admonishing those who have not yet believed in Jesus and are still young. In particular, we must have that kind of heart toward the souls we have evangelized. It is not right to do evangelism and then say Namolla.
The apostle Paul refers to Timothy as "Timothy, my son in the faith." What we evangelize is begetting. Therefore, we need our hands until he is fully grown. Exhorting and bringing them to worship is the same as parents bringing their children to Jesus.
2. The hearts of the disciples
But, everyone, those parents brought their children to Jesus today. What did the disciples do?
When we have this kind of heart, we too can act like the disciples today. "Kids go!"
3. The Heart of Jesus
How did the Lord respond to these disciples' attitudes today? "You've made a fuss." Jesus' anger is rare, but he did it today. Later, he became angry again. When he went up to the temple in Jerusalem, he became angry when he saw that the temple had been defiled and turned into a den of robbers. The anger of Jesus today is that great. It is that Jesus is angry with those who judge, choose, and choose children who come to Jesus with their own preconceived notions.
Don't stop and keep going. Never give up and keep going!
Folks, we think that children spoil everything. We believe that the church needs more people who have been in the faith for a long time than new believers. However, we can see that our Lord Jesus is creating wonderful and beautiful harmony through such new believers as children. Do you remember that it was because of a small lunch that a young child brought with him that could cause the miracle of Obyeong-ear? You can see that the Lord grants great blessings by looking at the small faith that new believers give. Please remember that new believers can achieve in an instant what old believers could not achieve in decades.
We should not distinguish people by our judgment or our thoughts. Jesus was angry because he was afraid that one of them might be hurt, tempted, and discouraged because of the wrong judgment or judgment of such people.
Do you know the heart of Jesus? Do you know the heart of Jesus who loves souls, the heart of Jesus who loves small, easy-to-understand souls that are easy to ignore and easy to ignore?
dear saints
What did Jesus say today when he rebuked his disciples? “Let little children come to me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such ones, truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it” (14-15). Please remember the words.
Aren't we pretending to be adults? Do you not elevate yourself? Am I not saying I know everything myself? Jesus showed the children and spoke through audiovisual education. Serve the kingdom of God like this little child! Only then can you enter heaven, and in that heaven, God will exalt you.”
In the shape of our lives, in the shape of today's young children, I hope that we will find our lost shape.
Somehow in the world, at least we should be like little children before Jesus.
Children do not understand faith. Just like you just believe what the teacher says, Jesus wants you to believe that way. Innocent, if the Bible says so, I hope you live a life of faith that you can believe in simple and pure. Whether you pray, do service, or whatever you do, I pray that you do it with purity.
So, once again, I bless you that the Lord will raise you up and become believers who can speak to anyone as a source of inspiration.
