Matthew 5:11-12 Heavenly report card
A missionary was on a ship coming into America. He was a man who had been doing missionary work in various places for almost 40 years. But now that he was old and finished his missionary work, he was dealing with his fatigue in the driest room on the ship. However, the president of the country who was returning from a visit to a neighboring country was on board the ship. On board, of course, the president was best served.
And when the ship arrived at the port, a lot of people came out to welcome it, and the photographers flashed all over the place to take pictures. The missionary, who got down at the very end following the waves of noisy welcome guests, came into the hotel room where he was going to be bound. And after a while he wept and prayed. "God! Something doesn't seem fair. The president who visited the neighborhood had a crowd of applause and welcome, but no one welcomed me after 40 years of your work."
Then the voice of the Lord was heard in the ears of the missionary, who was drenched in despair and sorrow. "You haven't come back yet!" In other words, we do our work diligently for the Lord, but we are sometimes discouraged because there is no reward for it, but the Lord will pay you back later in the kingdom of heaven.
Moreover, it is easy to become discouraged and depressed if you just look at this land when an unusual situation arises where you are severely insulted rather than praised even if you work hard for the Lord's work. Therefore, in times like these, we must remember the word of the Lord. "My child, the final report card for your hard work on this earth is set by heaven. Do not be discouraged by the land report card given to you right now."
Some time ago, I saw a movie called 'Teacher Kim Bong-doo' among Korean movies. Mr. Bong-Doo Kim was a teacher who gave good grades to the students who brought money envelopes, but did not give good grades to students who did not bring money envelopes, no matter how kind and good they study. Not only that, the student who didn't flatter with a bag of money was a bad teacher who deliberately made him raise his hand outside the classroom even if he didn't do anything bad.
Ladies and gentlemen, the students who got good grades by flattering their teachers with money envelopes may feel better right now. On the other hand, a student who could not flatter such a teacher with a bag of money would feel bad right away. And discouragement and anger will arise. What's more, teachers would be very hated if these report cards had a decisive influence on their entry into higher schools.
But keep in mind. A report card from such a bad teacher is not a true report card. I accepted the good report card given by this teacher and said, "Hehe- I'm doing well!" And there is nothing to be happy about. And you don't have to be upset or discouraged by the bad report cards that these teachers give you. However, "From now on, I have to work hard to flatter the teacher and give the money envelopes!" And you don't even have to make great (?) decisions.
Malone There are quite a few people who immigrate to Canada because they don't like the educational environment in Korea. But keep in mind. This is a human world too, so sometimes my report card comes out completely different from what I expected. On the contrary, sometimes the report card comes out backwards. There are times when the person who deserves to be scolded gets praise, and the person who should be praised is severely reviled.
However, in this case, I pray that you do not become discouraged by looking only at the report card on earth, but look at the true report card from the Lord in heaven. Even if the report card on earth says that I am a bad person, if the report card in heaven says that I am a good person, wouldn't it be worthy of great comfort? Because the report card on earth is temporary and the report card in heaven is eternal.
A good Christian is one who cares more about the heavenly report card than the earthly one. And even our great forefathers of faith were more interested in the report card given from heaven than the report card on earth, and furthermore, they are people who refused to give up good grades on earth for the sake of good grades in heaven.
Guys, are you the one who clings to the report card of this land and cries and smiles according to it? Or are you a person who looks at the heavenly report card and continues to look to God and continue to be true today? Guys, keep that in mind. Eternal happiness in the kingdom of heaven is not based on wiles, tricks, tricks, and clever tricks. Rather, it is the sexual order of the kingdom of heaven where we look to God and live truthfully. Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become more sensitive to the heavenly report card than the earthly one.
Once upon a time in a country there was a great king. This king was the richest man in the country. The king woke up one morning and heard a rooster crowing three times. Then a solemn voice was heard from heaven saying, "Today the richest man in the country will die." I heard this same sound three times. In an instant, the king's face turned blue and his whole body trembled.
The king soon summoned the most famous doctors in the country. So he lay down in bed, and the doctors prepared the best medicine to keep him by his side all night. Gradually, the night was getting deeper, and everyone was filled with fear and anxiety that the king might die. For the first time in his life the King has experienced such a painful and boring night.
The king and the doctors greeted the morning without a single sleep. I was so nervous that everyone was tired and out of my mind. At that very moment, the church bell rang softly, signaling the morning. And the king thought. "Then, who really died last night? Obviously, the richest person in the country would die, so is there anyone richer than me?"
The king, who was very puzzled, gave an order to his servants, saying, "Hey, find out who died in the country quickly and come back." Soon after, the servant returned and reported this. "The dead man was an old blind beggar."
When the king heard this, he was very surprised. And I thought. "I must have heard from heaven that the richest man in the country dies! Then that old beggar is the richest man in the country and pretends to be a beggar and deceived us? Anyway, if he was a beggar, he would have no wife and children. Of course, the property left behind should be owned by me, the king of this country. Search through the house where the beggar lived!"
The servants soon ran to the house of the beggar who had died last night. But the beggar's house, like a stable, had nothing other than a bale of straw and a pillow made of grass. The old beggar died of hunger and cold. The servants returned to the palace and reported the truth to the king. The king tilted his head as if strangely, and said: "Then was the voice from heaven a lie?"
Hearing this, one of the doctors said: "Perhaps the dead blind man has a lot of wealth stored up in heaven. If he puts it up in heaven, there is no fear of it being stolen or rusting. Aren't the treasures laid up in heaven more wonderful than any other treasure in this world?"
Hearing this, the king was greatly moved. And it was very shameful that he had thought he was the best man in the country and the richest man in the country. So, it is said that after that, if there were the poor and the people who were in trouble, they did their best to help them as much as they could. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -------a . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And it is said that he gave much of his wealth to the work of God. In other words, like the old beggar, he himself became a completely different person in order to build up precious treasures in heaven.
As the years passed, the great king who worked hard for good deeds and for God's work has now passed away. It is said that the king made this will to his servants at that time. "When I die, bury me in the beggar's grave!"
But what if these two don't go together? To this question, "Then, of course, we must follow the rich in heaven. The rich on earth are temporary, but the rich in heaven are eternal, aren't they?" And if you reply immediately, and if you do not regret at all after giving this answer, your soul will reach heaven truly safely. And according to that belief, you will become rich in heaven.
But to this question, "Well, I'll have to think about it a bit more. This matter is so important that I should discuss it with my spouse. Honey - what do you think?" Wouldn't it be a pity to ask for the opinions of husbands and wives? And the honey's answer was, "No, what are you talking about? We have children, so we have to be rich on this earth, what's the use of being rich in heaven?" Wouldn't it be a shameful Christian to hear the word, obey and move as it is?
Of course, to the people of the world, it would be considered foolish to look at the rich in heaven and give up on the rich on earth. And it would be a tragedy that is hard to even think of to give up on the report card of the land, where the honor of this earth and the happiness of this land are directly linked for the sake of the report card from heaven. Therefore, it may not be easy to follow the sky. But at least if you're a Christian, don't you think it's a real Christian to look at your heavenly report card and put your best effort into it?
