Title: Heaven's Throne

Contents

2006' Lecture on Revelation from the pulpit of Kyunghyang (20)

"The Throne in Heaven (General Theorem)"

Revelation 4:2

1. The throne open in heaven is the real world of heaven.

This world of existence is a mystery among mysteries that can only be seen, heard and praised by God's own revelation (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) (Rev 4:1, 2).

It is the center of the revelation event and the eternal home of the saints.

2. The throne of heaven is the world of existence that is filled with the glory of the spiritual realm itself.

It is full of the glory of God Himself, holiness, righteousness, mercy, omnipotence, and eternity (Rev. 4:3, 5, 8, 11). It is always the light of the seven lamps.

I can't even think of dirt, darkness, or evil.

Thrones of earthly princes stained with injustice, corruption and absurdity! Be humble, fear and tremble, and bow down to the LORD, who sits on his heavenly throne!

3. The characters of the servants of the heavenly throne are teaching the servants of the earthly throne (the church) today.

Do the servants of the earthly church have their bravery (lion), sacrifice (loyalty), oxen, wisdom (human), and integrity (eagle) (Rev 4:7)?

Do we have their constant activity, agility, and insight (wings and eyes)? How superior are humans to angels (spirit creatures)? Aren't all angels sent as ministering spirits to serve for those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14)?

4. The vitality of the heavenly throne lies in worship and praise.

Their praise was based on God's own attributes (holiness + omnipotence + eternity, Revelation 4:8) and God's work of creation (Revelation 4:11). The worship of the twenty-four elders was ① before the living God who sat on the throne (Revelation 4:10). ② It was humble worship and worship (Revelation 4:10, Matthew 2:11). ③ It was the worship of glory (Rev 4:10). They worshiped with a golden crown dedicated to God alone.

5. The church on earth must see and hear this heavenly throne.

The Apostle John said, “I saw a door open in heaven, and I heard… ’ (Rev 4:1).

“I saw” (Rev 5:1), “I saw again” (Rev 5:2), “I saw again” (Rev 4:6), “I saw and heard again” (Rev 5:11), “ II hear it again...” (Rev 5:13).

The eyes that see the throne of heaven, the ears that hear the voice of the throne, the worship that comes from the conviction as a result of seeing and hearing, and the people, families, and churches that can sing praises with emotion are truly blessed people (Rev 1:3).
