Sermons for Preaching

Title: Heavenly Blessings/Ephesians 1:3-6 ..

After finishing his greetings, Paul begins in verse 3, “Blessed be you.” In these words, we can see that Paul's heart was filled with the desire to praise God only.

When a person is very kind to them and receives great favor, they are filled with gratitude for it, and they want to talk about him with whomever they meet and boast about him.

Paul's heart shown in verse 3 and below is full of praise to God.

When we think of the grace that God has bestowed upon the Ephesian church members, the hymns come naturally.

Blessed is the meaning of giving back to God what comes from God.

1. Who is the God who is the object of our praise?

Paul says two things in verse 3.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places..."

First, we say that the God who is the object of our praise is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

State -

Jesus -

Christ -

He says that God is the Lord of all things, sacrificed to save us from our sins, and is still alive today to be our Messiah, the Father of Christ who guides and protects us.

Second, it says that we should be praised because he has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ.

The God who deserves our praise, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ. What are these spiritual blessings?

It is explained in verses 4-5.

Ephesians 1:4 He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we

to be holy and without blemish before him in

Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us according to his good pleasure through Jesus Christ

made them his sons

1. It is the election of us in Christ.

Choose - It has the meaning of choosing, pulling out, who, who ... choose from a place.

When we say that we are chosen, we do not mean that we were chosen from among many people, but rather that we were called as children of God from sin, evil, death, and perdition.

ex) Abraham,

Paul

Isaiah 43:1-3 "...I have redeemed you, and you are called by name; you are mine..."

Being chosen out of sin and becoming God's children is a spiritual blessing that God has bestowed upon us in Christ.

2. Why did you choose him?

He chose us to separate us in love. "Sanctify"

He chose to be clean. "to be without blemish"

3. How did you choose us?

You made them sons in a pleasing will.

"He made them his sons..."

God chose us out of His pleasing will and paid the price of His only begotten Son to make us His children.

4. What did God mean for us to be His children?

Ephesians 1:6 which is freely given to us in the one he loves,

to the praise of the glory of grace

In the Beloved - in the Lord Jesus Christ

God's Free Grace - Salvation - Election, separation, washing away from sins, making children...

// Glory of

// // This is to glorify.
