Title: Hebrews 11:1-3 By faith

Contents

main text; Hebrews 11:1-3 titles; by faith

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Even people of old received God's approval for this belief. By faith we know that all things in this world were created by the word of God, and that the visible was made of the invisible (Hebrews 11:1-3/ Modern Man's Bible).

A farmer is sowing seeds in the spring. Why does a farmer sow seeds in sweat? Because I think of the autumn harvest. He is sowing and planting small seeds now, but he is sowing and seeing a great harvest in the fall. Without this belief, the farmer is not sowed. Every year, a lot of damage is caused by the rainy season. Nevertheless, the seeds are planted again the following year. It is because they see the life in the seed by faith.

What is faith?

What do we believe in? What does it mean to believe unconditionally? It's not like that. We call this belief blind obedience. It is not normal to believe without knowing what you believe. It is a false belief. So what is true faith? It is believing the truth. to believe in facts.

For the time being, I'd like to think about a belief we know well. We know our faith all too well. But defining belief is not easy. Nevertheless, we define our beliefs in our own way. I try to explain my beliefs. It is because we have faith in us.

How does the Bible speak of faith? The book of Hebrews speaks of faith as 'the object of things hoped for'. In other words, faith is said to 'see with the eye is the same as seeing'. But that doesn't mean you believe it like you see it. What matters is the truth. It's true. Often, when we talk about faith, we often put aside the truth and say it. But remember. Faith is not like building a house on lies. It is to build a house thoroughly in the truth. Please put this aside and do not discuss beliefs.

So, the text discusses faith while thoroughly rooted in the truth. Never leave the truth behind. What is faith in truth? It is the 'real thing of things desired'. In other words, it has not yet appeared before my eyes, or I have not seen it, but I see it based on the Word and the truth. It's like my hand touched it.

So John said, "Of Christ, the Word of life, which existed before the world was created, we have heard, we have seen with our eyes, and we have touched with our hands. This life has appeared in the world. We have seen Christ who is eternal life. Therefore, I testify of him to you and proclaim him: he was with the Father and he appeared to us" (John 1:12). Of course, John was the one who met Jesus. But how did we see that Jesus was before the foundation of the world? It is through the Word of Truth. Then how can we receive the history of the past as the history of the present? It is through faith. It is to see and experience the word of truth with the eyes of faith from within.

Remember.

A lot of times we are really stupid. How often do you believe what you really believe and don't believe in what you shouldn't? When shaving at the barber shop, we drop our necks so easily. When you eat food at a restaurant, you don't know what the other person put in the food and you just eat it. There is no case of believing and eating because you have seen it with your own eyes. Just trust and eat. But how many people do not believe the word of truth?

If our faith is truly rooted in the truth, we will not be shaken by false teachings. However, because our faith is not in the truth, but in people, or in circumstances and circumstances, we are shaken by falsehoods, and when circumstances are difficult, we fall. Isn't it?

See the text. What is your definition of faith? 'Seeing what you cannot see' This is defined as faith.

That's right. Because of the word of truth, we have not seen it with our eyes, but we have not touched it with our hands, but it seems that we do not feel it, but trusting God through the word of truth is faith. That is, believe in God, but believe in God in the Word. Real faith is building a house of faith, but building it based on the truth.

How is God testifying to our faith? The Bible says, "Even the people of ancient times received God's approval for this faith" (Hebrews 11:2). That is, the evidence was obtained through faith. We were accepted by God through faith. In fact, our faith is pleasing to God. That is why the writer of Hebrews confessed, "Without faith it is impossible to please God. Those who come to God must believe that He exists, and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6). is to do That's right. There is no way to please God without faith.

The most joyous thing for a father is to acknowledge him as his father. No matter how much you supply, if you don't acknowledge him as a father, your father cannot be happy. Even if you live on what is provided right away, if you do not acknowledge your father as a father, you will be nailed to the heart of your father.

Faith is the only way we can be accepted by God. It is the only way to prove our faith.

Can anything else be accepted by the Lord? There is not.

No matter how much work you do, if you don't have faith, it's like a house without a foundation.

However, even if you haven't done much work, if you have faith, God is pleased with this.

No matter how much work a servant does, it is difficult to receive love and recognition. You can often get recognition. Nevertheless, it cannot give the owner real joy. That is why the Bible sometimes deals with the importance of the slave as his own child. But children can bring joy to their parents, even in small things. This is the difference between a child and a species.

So what do you believe?

What are the roots of your faith?

Where are you taking root?

That is the gospel. Promise. It is the word of God. Take a look at how God sees you through His Word. How much do you value you? How much love do you treat you? How long ago has God been treating us with great love? I looked at this. They are such precious creatures.

This God is your father and parents. So, what does it mean to live by faith in the world? It is living with our eyes focused on God, who is our true Father. We live for the joy of God. Don't be discouraged that the environment has become a little difficult, that what you can see has come to life, or that life is difficult right now. Truly, the Lord is your everything. The things of the world live in your eyes, but the Lord is with you forever. This is the truth. This is a promise.

Do you believe this? Then I hope you see everything in life anew. Don't brag about having a little

Do you have little? Don't act on it because it makes you cringe. Why? Because our Father is Lord of all. That's why the Bible tells us, "Those who have, act as those who do not have, and those who do not have, act as those who have." Of course, acting like you don't have doesn't necessarily mean swipe your card to buy. It is not to be discouraged by material things. Without it, I feel uncomfortable and anxious. But the Lord knows all this. The Lord knows our needs. So he is warning us not to spend today worrying about tomorrow.

Do you truly believe in God in the truth?

Are you seeing God's promises?

Do you believe that God lives?

Do you really believe in the power of God?

If so, I hope that you will live a life that believes in the Lord's promises and trusts the Lord. I hope that you will be victorious by paying attention to the living God even in difficult circumstances and situations, rather than getting frustrated because of difficult circumstances. The environment changes. Circumstances also change. People change for the better. But our God is unchanging.

After the Exodus, Israel arrived at Kadesh-Barnea after a two-year journey. There he sent 12 smelters. They toured Canaan for 40 days. I experienced how good the land was. So that's how I reported it. It was good.

However, 10 people saw the situation with the eyes of reality, not the eyes of faith. So I saw their magnificence, the majesty of their walls, and their weakness. So, 'It's a fight where you can't win if you fight. This war will be lost.'

But the two men, Caleb and Joshua, saw Canaan with the eyes of faith. So they said, "They can definitely win because the Lord, our protector, is with them. Let's go up and take the promised land that God has given us." In the end, only the two people who saw God's promise through faith could enter Canaan.

Dear all. Let's see the Promised Land with the eyes of our faith. Let's see it through the word of God's covenant. Let us pay attention to the power of the beloved God. The same God who gave victory to Israel in the past will give us victory now. Therefore, I hope that you will be victorious every day by looking at the promises of the Lord with the eyes of faith.
